When will you TTC again?

Just curious, when (if at all) are you planning on trying for the next baby?

DH and I are not in agreement as to whether we'll have a 2nd baby. He's not sure he wants two kids.... He did agree that part of his hesitation stems from the fact that DS is barely 3 months old. I know right now that I want a second baby. I told him it was a deal breaker and he laughed.

If we can agree to a second baby, I'd like to try around the time Ethan turns one.

*Let me point out that I just turned 34 in November. So having a second baby sooner than later is what would make sense for us.

According to my surgeon/OB, we need to wait until Marian is one to start TTC because of uterine weak spots (?). I'd like a second child by the time she is two, but we'll see what happens.

We will likely try for a late spring or early summer 2015 baby. That way, the LOs would be almost three years apart, but only two grades apart in school. Also, that means I'm done making babies by 35.

That is, if we have another. I always thought I wanted three or four, but we joke that LO is making a very good case for being an only child with her lack of desire to sleep.

I would like them about 3 years apart, but I want 3. It took us about 6 months to conceive this time around so we will start trying when L turns 1.5 or 2.

I'm done this time. No more for me. Before I wAs done, I knew I wanted approximately 3 years between them. I had no interest in two in diapers. I freaked when I found out I was pregnant with #2 when ds1 was just turning 2. DD was planned and she's 3.5 yrs younger than DS2. I found the extra year soooo helpful. DS2 is so much more independent and made it so much easier.

No idea right now... not right away though because we're probably looking at temporary health insurance starting in Jan that doesn't cover maternity. DH wants to try for the next one before DD is 3 though.

I think we ae going to start trying in March or April. We want them to be fairly close in age. We only want 2. I have the mentality that the sooner we get it over with the sooner I get my body for myself again.

DH wants to start trying next summer. I would like to wait until DD is a year. Last time it took 3 months to conceive, so I wouldn't mind aiming for January 2014 to get KU.

It depends on finances for us. If we're doing well financially, we'll probably start trying when R is about a year old. If I'm fertile by then. I have no idea when my cycles will return and I know people who have gone a year or more with no ovulation after their kids were born.

Actively? In August or September, but we are not trying to prevent. It took almost 3 years actively trying for this one so our philosophy is when it happens it happens.

We always thought we'd have two kids.

But honestly, the thought petrifies me. I'm seriously afraid of another bad labor/postpartum experience, and right now DH and I have no desire to go through the newborn phase again. Maybe time will make it seem not so bad...?

We might just be one and done.

Just had my first period even though in EBF and we are tempted to start this cycle lol we are crazy. We only want 2 and would love them to be close in age. Took us a year on fertility meds to conceive this LO so idk how long it'll take without, or if it'll even happen.

DH recently told me he would love to start TTC when LO is six months old. I said he was crazy and there is no way I am starting that soon. We're supposed to go on vacation in April and now I think he wants to try after that. I am still not cool with that either haha. I would like three years between my kids, and I'd love three kids.... so they'd be 6, 3 and NB and we'd be done. Sounds like a good span to me.

It returned at 11 Months for me and I got pregnant right away. If we're being honest it would be awesome if it happened the same way again Wink

If we decide to go for #4, we'll start TTC at the end of the summer next year {so before DS2 turns 1}.

I'd like to deliver before I turn 35 {which I will be in August, 2014} so an April-July baby would be nice. {Even though we already have a May and a July baby!} We'll see.

We've discussed April 2014 start trying again. We want 3 kids and DH is already 30 (me 28) so we want to wait till DS is at least 1 but we'll have them a little closer apart. I say April because I would like to avoid being 8 months pregnant again during July/August when it gets to 115 degrees here. April means a nice January baby or later depending if it takes long to get pregnant again.

I had my first baby at 33 and my second at 37. I think four years has been a pretty good spacing overall. I'm too old to deal with two under two. Smile

(And I am never TTCing again. We're done with two.)

If it were up to me: never. DH's opinion is that we should already be TTC again. It took us two years to get pregnant with Luci. Those were two extremely heartbreaking years. I am just not sure I can survive that again!

I'm going to be 40 in a few weeks (!!!) so time is of the essence. We're planning to start trying in May. We would have opted to start before that but I had a c/s and my OB feels strongly about us waiting 8mo before trying again. It took 3 cycles for our first pregnancy and 2 for E, so we're hoping to be KU by the end of the summer or by E's first birthday.

Probably around the time T is about a year and a half we will start trying. I'm a teacher and would like my next to be born in March or April. No way will I be 9 months pregnant is August again!

Can't decide if they should be 1.5 years apart or two, if we get so lucky. We have had good luck in December twice now, so maybe one year from now. We may decide to start earlier though.

DH is probably scheming to get me pregnant as we speak. I don't really want to go through another pregnancy with hyperemesis but I would like more babies. Who knows, maybe in a few months maybe a few years.

We will probably start trying when DD is one to one and a half. We want them close together. Also, we may want a third and I am already 31 so I would want them all close in age so I can be done by around 35 or 36.

This. This was our plan after DS1 also but I was one of "those people" for whom BF was highly effective birth control. It took way longer than I had hoped.

Pretty sure we are one and done. I had a horrible recovery which is making it harder to think about having a second. My ob said 2 years though till we could try again. I had a lot of trauma to my uterus with my csection.

That's why I want 2 by 35, I'm getting old! I felt exhausted being pregnant at 33, I assume waiting would be even more tiring! We'll see though. We def are not having more than 2.

Honestly? I'd like to start trying next summer. Our experience with DS has been such a great one, it leads me to want to do it all over again. DH and I've discussed it though, and we will likely wait until early Spring 2014. We are going on an extended vacation Jan/Feb of 2014 to meet his family overseas and I really don't want to be pregnant for the trip. Also, I am going to SAH after #2 so we really need to get our finances in order before we take that leap.

Before getting KU with Hazel, we wanted 3-4 kids. Now it just depends on several things. We have to be in a much better financial place than we are now and we have to have a good support system in place. My pregnancies aren't a cake-walk and I just don't think I can go through all of that again without support. Also, a 3rd kid means bigger cars and such, since we're barely making it in our current car with 2 kids. So yeah. Finances and support. And insanity.

I'm not ready to definitely say no more kids, but I feel content with 2 in a way I never felt with 1. So we'll see.

I'm ok with having just 2 kids, but we both want to have a 3rd. We're going on a week long vacation with my family next July and i really don't want to be pregnant then, so we won't actively TTC until then. I just turned 34 and want to be complete our family soon. If I'm not pregnant by 35, I'd be ok with giving up TTC.
