How much milk a day is LO drinking? DS is drinking about 12-16 oz per day.
At what times of day? He drinks equal amounts when he first wakes up, with morning snack, afternoon snack &before bed, if he asks for it.
Whole, 2% or other? Whole for now & we'll see what pedi says at his well visit next week.
When we eventually start formally PTing, I was thinking that I'll have to cut out milk with morning snack b/c it is right before his nap, as well as cut out milk before bed (which we're already starting to do).
Also, I was curious if you give milk with meals, or just with snacks. We give milk with snacks & water with meals.
8-10 oz, at daycare (lunch/snack), lactose free whole milk
I give him water with a lot of meals, but sometimes he gets more milk than above depending on his request. Since he can decide now, I generally ask him what he wants.
~8oz of whole milk before her nap after lunch. She still gets it in a bottle, and I KNOW I need to break that, but it's our snuggle time.....
I try to make sure she gets a good portion of cheese or yogurt during the day as well, but first thing in the morning is a great idea to get an extra serving. Might buy me some time so I don't have to rush to make her breakfast.
She has water available at all times during the day, it's always somewhere near her.
T gets about 12 - 16 oz of whole milk per day. He is given one cup with breakfast and one with dinner (which he normally finishes after dinner). He asks for more sometimes before bed, but we try to get him to have water. He also gets you hurt and cheese almost every day.
A drinks milk with meals now, usually a sippy cup worth. is it bad I don't know how many oz that is he occasionally has a little milk after nap on a rough day but we cut out the milk right before bed as he was FLOODING his diapers. He doesn't seem to miss it so yay. He's probably going to finish his gallon of whole and then we will switch him to 2, we don't see the pedi til next month since I made appts for both kiddos the same day an we have to wait til J is 4 months old.
I just fill his cup at mealtimes, it varies how much he drinks at each meal. I will keep it out for the morning, because I also give him Cheerios in his snack cup during the morning so he can snack as he wants to. Other than that, his straw sippy of water is always available. We switched him to 1% about a month ago, which is what we drink.
I give him it first thing in the morning and right before bed. It probably adds up to about 12 ounces. Sometimes he doesn't drink it at all. But you know us...working on about 3 calories a day here sometimes! I am still giving him whole milk, with some cream added in to try to keep his weight level. I don't think we will ever go to 2% being that he is so little. Any extra fat helps
8-12 oz/day on a good day. There have been a couple where he won't drink his milk but he generally likes it.
At what times of day?
He gets his filled up straw cup in the morning and drinks it throughout the day. Generally with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Whole, 2% or other?
Still whole. G is such a peanut that I don't see any point in switching to a lower percentage. I think his ped would freak if I did. I drink almond milk and my DH drinks skim so we're already drinking different milks. What's one more, lol? (I mean that tongue in check, btw...I hate the extra expense but it's worth it for now).
DS drinks about 30 oz of whole milk! He would drink a gallon if he could...he LOVES milk. He gets a sippy in the morning when he wakes up, one in late morning and one in late afternoon. He drinks water with meals and during the day. He drinks A LOT of liquids....I think maybe too much....which I am going to bring up with the pedi at our well-visit.

DS loves milk too & is always asking for it! He used to drink close to 30 oz per day, but we cut it back in an attempt to get him to eat more actual food.
He's such a lightweight - like some of the others have said, I don't think we'll be switching to 2% anytime soon!

He gets about 16oz a day
At what times of day?
In the morning when he wakes up and with dinner.
Whole, 2 or other?
We just switched to 2 a couple of weeks ago.
My guys drink about 20 ozs a day.
They have it at breakfast and dinner.
They drink 2%.
I'm not 100% sure how much he is getting but if I had to guesstimate I would say around 18 oz a day.
He gets it at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We just switched to 2% after his pedi gave us the ok to switch.

I think DC also only gives milk at meals.
Oh, my. I would be so thrilled if G did this.
