we're a bit tight on money this year so I looked on craiglist for a reasonablly priced tripp trapp. I made the mistake of not asking when the chair was purchased thinking all tripp trapps are the same (stupid me!!). I didn't realize this until I got the chair home that it was made in 2004 (I wish the seller told me this), which means it won't fit the stokke baby set. I know it's my fault for not doing enough research but I'm so sad. I called Stokke who told me the only option I have is to purchase a new back plate + 2 rails + harness, which will come to $120, which is what I paid for the chair
I just want to cry right now. I did this to save money but it ended up costing me more. To make the matter worse, I already bought the baby set on sale which can't be returned.
Does any one have an older version of the Tripp Trapp that can provide some insight on some modifications I can do so I don't need to buy another highchair for my baby before she hits 18months? and to all the moms looking to buy a tripp trapp on craigslist to save a buck, make sure the chair is made after 2006! I just ruined my Christmas
Re: craiglist fail - stokke tripp trapp
Why not just try and re-sell it on craigslist and watch for a newer version? In the mean time you could probably find a used high chair or high-chair seat that attaches to a regular chair for far less money, like $20 or even less. Don't let it ruin your christmas, it's really not that bad!

Thanks! Guess my only option is to sell it. Thanks Jane
I do need to step back and realize it's not the end of the world
Worst comes to worse keep it and get an Ikea Antilop for the start. That's what we're going to do this time around, Ikea until 12 months and then Trip Trap for 1st birthday.
DD stopped using the baby set and harness shortly after her first birthday because she would climb up onto it and it was dangerous for her to have it on there.
