Early signs of labor???

So recently, I've been getting more and more BH at night. I don't know if its a sign that labor will start soon or what, but its been an obvious increase over the last few days. Also, I've been having a few of menstrual-like cramps over the past few days and DS has dropped significantly. Could this be the early signs of labor or am I just getting my hopes up???

    It could definitely be a little bit of preparation. For a few days I had some menstrual-like cramps, then I started having strong pains in my back. Turns out I went from 1 cm to 3.5 in a week and I'm 90% effaced. Which I know isn't labor, but it's getting closer. Also, my pains started at night as well.

    So it's possible that your body is just getting you closer to the real deal. :)

    I've been getting lighter menstrual-like cramps over the past week in the mornings that then go away and my obgyn told me until they become regular and don't go away to just ignore them - that they don't really mean much. Just thought I'd pass that along.

    My unhelpful answer is that it would be early signs, or it could not be. You can't really tell ahead of time sadly. Our bodies have a lot of prep work to do and its different for everyone. I was for sure going to have my son last week and I'm still pregnant and overdue with #2.
