I agree with PP. Whenever I need a minute or five, I turn on Sprout for the toddler and put the baby in the swing (as long as she's not screaming). Here's hoping your baby isn't screaming! Good luck mama - having two is hard, but you can do it!
Preschool. Sorry, I know I'm not helpful. Good luck!!
We do preschool! I feel like a bad mom. I feel horrible that afternoons are so hard on me even though the toddler is gone for preschool in the mornings.

He is FINALLY asleep in his swing. He had a crying fit like I've never seen before. He wouldn't even nurse! I finally gave him a bottle and that seemed to help.
Seriously though, is their something your toddler does independently, like TV? I'd put on a show, hold the baby (if they like it) and relax. Good luck...it does get better.

I will definitely be having a drink tonight. I've been thinking about it all day. LOL.
Thanks for the words of encouragement. It's good to hear from a mom of 3 b/c we had always wanted 3 kids!

Don't feel bad! Two kids are exhausting. Hope your afternoon is getting better. Even though DS1 doesn't nap a lot of days, he's required to go to his room for quiet time. He plays in his room/reads books. That way, if I can get DS2 down in his swing then I get at least an hour to myself. Though, I'm still exhausted by the time DH gets home.
Re: I hate afternoons! vent and a question for STM
Lay down on the couch with the baby on top of you and put a movie in for the older one.
