Re: 1000+ : The Sequel

  • It is 4am. What are YOU doing?

I am at work. I am obviously taking a few minutes to myself, avoiding doing actual work.

Mason will probably pull his new 5am wake-up, but not my problem today. Ha Ha to daddy-o!!!

I do not fold my underwear. I used to organize it by style ... thong, boyshort, etc. Who the hell has time for that now? I am lucky I do laundry enough to have clean underwear.

The word panties makes me cringe, especially when certain people say that word. Middle-aged men should never say panties.

  • You know how they say to always wear clean underwear in case you get into a car accident? Is there anything that you would be embarrassed about if you ended up in the hospital right now?

I would be embarrassed about my pedicure (or lack there-of). I need to get on top of this soon. I have awful-looking chipped polish. Just a quick home paint job (as difficult as it will be 9 months pregnant) will make me feel more prepared for labor. At least my legs are shaved.

I used to hate when I heard people using terms like these (unless it was to immediate family.) After working as a nurse for 6 year, I totally find myself doing this all the time. I still hate it, but I can't stop.

Suddenly S'mores - they were a prepackaged microwavable s'mores by Nabisco that I used love as an after-school snack, probably in middle school.

Have you ever had a black eye?

Yes. When I used to waitress, we had this tall awkward guy that was always plowing through everybody. He gave me a good elbow to the eye picking up a tray of food.

Yesterday, Mason hit me right in the eye with the hard head of a Cabbage Patch Doll (trying to get me to kiss the baby). It's not quite a black eye, but I have quite a puffy bruise going under my right eye. I saw stars it hurt so bad!

I lost my mother just over 5 years ago. She had multiple sclerosis and died of complications from a severe pneumonia. She was diagnosed with MS when I was in 4th grade, and her health declined with time. She was wheelchair-bound and in constant pain by the time she passed away at 58 years old. Although she was sick for so many years, her death was somewhat fast and unexpected. I never cried a tear when she died, but it does hurt that she is not around to meet her grandchildren. I am grateful that she was very active in my childhood, and I have so many wonderful memories of her before she got sick.

  • I have to stay late for a work meeting today. None of us knew about it ahead of time. I find it highly unfair to make us stay late after working an overnight, espeically without proper notice. I think that I might pull the childcare excuse even though it actually isn't an issue today. I really just can't afford another Boston parking ticket.

  • I am trying to get a whole page done for you ladies. I hope you guys appreciate my early morning effort. I have patients suffering from lack of care so that I can do this for you.

Ugh .... I soooo don't feel like signing off and giving a suppository right now. Finger up the butt, anyone???

  • Who is the sucker now? I didn't want to stay the extra 30-60 minutes for a meeting, and now I agreed to stay until 11:30am because they are short nurses. 7pm to 11:30am. 16 1/2 hours. Kill me now.

At least my patient didn't want his suppository! Surprise

  • I'm here... nothing going on.

I asked H to take my car to work last night so he could put gas in it for me.

    He forgot.

So now I'll probably stay home all day because I hate pumping gas.

    Whatever.

  • I do not fold my underwear. I throw them all in the drawer. And I hate the word panties almost as much as I hate the word moist. Put them together and I am guaranteed to be sick.

buahha!! I don't fold mine either, I do fold dhs though. If not that would be like a tank top not being folded.
I'm in my period so getting into a crash or anything of the sort would not be cool.

And omg my child just climbed out of her bed!

My legs could use a shave. And I'm wearing my "period undies", so that would be embarassing.

  • You ladies crack me up.

    I'll contribute my randomness.

    1. I can't button my top button on my jeans today, so I just have them unbuttoned.  At work.

    2. I bought a pregnancy test on my way to work because despite being exhausted and hungry, I don't think I'm actually pregnant.  (It was positive, surprise!)

    3. I have 4 loads of clean laundry spread out all over the couch in the family room.  I don't want to fold it and the family room is in the basement (out of sight).

Not a full on one, no.  A tiny black mark from a bump, yes.

I would be embarrassed that I haven't shaved my legs in like 10 days.  And also that I have a black VS bra on and white plain Hanes giant panties.  Sexy

Preach it sister.  MH always fills my car too, I don't blame you one bit.  Last time I went to the gas station I parked on the wrong side...

All of it. I look a mess.

    Not often. But sometimes.

Buffalo Busters. Idk what they even were, but my mom used to buy them and they were amazing.

    Nope.

  • I'm watching Forest Gump for the 500th time this month. Thanks HBO.
