He actually asked me to dance 8 times and I said no each time until my friend asked me to please just dance with him so he would leave us alone, lol. Apparently persistance pays off. He claims he thought I was a different girl each time!

My now MIL was my supervisor at the time and she kept pushing me to go out on a date with her son. I had just gotten out of a complicated dating situation and was totally not interested. I finally went out with him so she would leave me alone and the rest is history.

I moved to CA and went to this College get-together and he was there. He said some really cheesy joke and I literally laughed for a whole 30 seconds...and I was the ONLY one who did. Apparently that was "the first" for him.
For me, I was hanging out with his sister (for the first time at their house) and was doing this weird dancing thing. I was super hyper and basically "hopping" back and forth while knocking my knuckles on their counter. Lo and behold, when I stopped and turned around he was just staring at me with the weirdest look.
Then he simply said "we are going to play some guitar hero, wanna join us?"

This one time at bandcamp.
Yep we meet at bandcamp. It was 10th grade and he was new to the school 10th grade for him to. We all were told to find our first spot on the field he was right next to me. I said hi and ask him what his name was. We have been together ever since. That was 10 over 10 years ago.
This story started at band camp on Sept. 6, 2002, when to people meet. Married on Nov. 14, 2009.

That's cute! I knew after DH And I had our first phone conversation. I just knew! I think it took him a little longer...LOL
DH was working as a server for my grad school's holiday banquet. He said it was love/lust? at first sight and he stole my place card and looked me up later on facebook, saw that I had a boyfriend and didn't act on it. Later, when I was single we ran into each other at a bar and we hung out all night and he asked to take me on a proper date the next weekend. Together ever since.

after 35 years of one mr wrong, after another, I figured that Mr right didn't live near me ... Sure enough he was 2 hours way

We were set up! super lame....but we were. It took a few weeks to get both of us to do it, but then we all went out in a group where we were "introduced"...
and that was it. We kissed 2 hours later and have been together ever since. no drama, break ups, etc. just true love
I love how I am not the only. DH and I were 15 and 16, and meet through band.

I met my DH online!! It was my first time to try on line dating and the second man I agreed to communicate with. i was tired of meeting lame guys in bars. I agreed to meet with him face to face after long nights of skyping and he was my ideal! I knew I wanted to marry him the first time he held my hand at the bonfire we went to after a rodeo. We got married this year and are now expecting our first together and my second.
I thought internet dating was totes lame until I tried it.
The first time we chatted, he was bouncing in the back room of the local watering hole and I drooled on my beer. It was magical.

Btw.. I was really mad at him just now but writing this made me "unmad" lol
We met at a birthday party for my sister's friend who was dating dh's friend. Dh had been bribed to drive his friend (didn't have a car) 2 hours from where they were stationed with meeting me. So in a way we were set up, although no one told me at the time.
Dec 7th was the 5 year anniversary of our first date.
