Definitely in labor but...

Spent the night timing some pretty strong & painful contractions lasting a minute plus at 10 - 15 minutes apart but after I tried to go back to bed, they slowed down to every 20 min then stopped about 5a. Got up this morning and went to work because I couldn't even get a wiggle out of my stubborn LO only to have them start again, completely irregular & anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds long.

Friends keep telling me "Be patient! LO will come when he/she is ready." etc. etc. Next person who tells me that or my other favorite... "Sounds like a girl/boy for sure!" I'm going to b***h slap. Don't need to hear any of that. Just a smile, pat on the back and maybe a light hug, please. I'm aware I have no control over the timing of any of this, don't need the reminder. 

Exhausted, uncomfortable and frustrated as h**l does not make for a great day at work but I'm trying to stick it out as long as I can so I don't burn up my PTO before LO gets here. Thankfully my staff is awesome and very understanding.

    I feel your pain! I've been having strong contractions (timeable) on and off since last Wednesday. Had a great trip to L&D where they sent me home for not progressing even though I was contracting every two to three minutes. If one more person says "still no baby?" I might kill them.

    I had a similar night, 1 hour of contractions crampy/painful ones mixed with BH tightening ones 12 mins apart, then 10 mins apart for the next hour and 78 mins apart for another hour, then they just stopped. I never had anything like that with my first pregnancy and I ended up being induced, so I'm hoping this is the start of something.
