DH's bro and his wife had their baby yesterday. They live 2 hours away, but we're driving through today anyway so of course will stop and see them. I'm really really really hoping my in laws are gone by the time we get there. They are so nice, but so annoying, and I'm just not in the mood.
Background: my husbands parents sold their house in our area in December and moved 2 states away (about a 2 hour drive). My mother in law continues to work 3 days a week in our area. So that means that she lives with us 3-4 days a week. I am fed up with it and DH doesn't back me at all (nor is he ever home so I'm always stuck entertaining).
Last week LO brought home the flu. I got it, then my husband got it, AND then my mother in law got it. I was secretly happy...
I had a coffee at 7:00 pm last night and was still tired and ready for bed by 8:30...it didn't happen until 10:30 though. I will likely have a coffee again tonight to stay awake past 8:00 lol!
I get so annoyed that I never get the opportunity to just be totally sick or bedridden. It seems like the second I am hurt, or sick then DH has a huge problem too... and it isn't like he is faking it, it is always legit! The one time in my life that I had the prime opportunity to be bedridden with no questions asked was after coming home from the hospital after 30 hours of labor and having a baby cut out of my uterus...so what happens? DH throws his back out really really badly... so I still had to be on my feet and do everything in the house including carrying heavy things. ARGH!
March siggy challenge: Dream job = Playing with wolves
Thanks ladies, it's been a rough couple of months. The worst part is that anytime I say anything negative about it my husband gets pissed at me saying his parents have "helped us so much." A-not really and B-That doesn't make it ok to treat us like a hotel!!!!
To continue with the theme of MIL issues, my MIL's dog died this week and I'm selfishly pissed because that means a) I have to be nice to her and b) there goes my favorite excuse for why I don't like to take LO over there. For the record, we don't get along.
