Yes, I think of the video game, but that's not a turn-off for me. I really like Zelda ? it's so kicky and '20s chic while still elegant. Thumbs up from me.

Yes, but if I loved the name enough I would still use it. DH really likes the name, but also has proposed the name a lot lately too. At first I thought he just liked it because of the game but he thinks it's a really great name. I did some research on Zelda Fitzgerald though and am not a fan so we won't be using the name. But I wouldn't side eye someone else who uses it. Just know that you'll get video game jokes and so will she but I think a person would get it out of their system after one or two times and be able to move on.

I think of my daughters gymnastics teacher. She said she gets alot of jokes involving the game but she likes her name.

First, I think of the video game. Second, I think of Zelda Fitzgerald, F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife, who I think may have been crazy? Last, I think of a scary movie with a character named Zelda. It has some interesting connotations, that's for sure!

I think people think of the video game just because you don't hear the name very often. I worked with a woman named Zelda, she was a pretty awesome lady and I never once thought of the game when referring to her. I think if you like it, go for it

I think of Zelda Fitzgerald and automatically put it in the same category as names like Flannery, Holden & Atticus- literary, but classic. I know two people with daughters named Zelda and they are both writers.

I do think of the video game, because of DH. But I also think of Zelda Fitzgerald. I think it's an awesome name and I really wish people didn't have strong video game associations with it (I'm not a gamer). I'd still use it, but DH doesn't consider it an option.
