I'm not worried about my BP, but it keeps going down at every dr visit. The nurse says it's really good, but I'm wondering what would exactly constitute 'too low'?
I'm sure the nurse will tell me if it drops too much. I'm just curious. Thanks!!!
What is yours? Mine is between 100/60 and 90/60. They are not worried about it. When I had DD, they were concerned about it because it went up to around 120/80.
So if mine was 96/64, that's nearing too low? How would they stop that from going lower?
I think I have different norms because I've always been lower than normal, but it's interesting to read/hear about.
I hate going to the dr and not having a clue what they're talking about.
Well no, not necessarily. Everyone has a different normal range so it's hard to stay. It's pretty normal for blood pressure to go lower while pregnant because you have so much more blood to move around. Of course it can also make some other people have higher BPs. I wouldn't worry as long as you feel normal, aren't have dizzy spells or feeling light headed or having any vision changes.
Re: Anyone in the medical field--blood pressure question
Optimal is considered 120/80
High end of normal is 140/90
Too low is below 90/60
Those are in general, you may have different norms, but these are the normal cutoffs.
