We are going through some tough family stuff lately with my extended family. Stuff like custody battles, neglectful parent/ mental illness issues. Unfortunately the children are bearing the brunt of this. My heart is breaking into a million pieces! I look at my dd and think how blessed My dh and i are to have her and how blessed she is to have us and our loving family all around her and loving her to a million pieces. If only every child was so lucky.

May we just take some time to recognize and be thankful how blessed we are and how blessed our children are and may we think of and pray for the children who are hurting.

    I agree. I work with CASA for Kids and volunteer for the local DV shelter. So I see families in crisis on a regular basis. My heart really hurts for the kids.
