Opinions on spelling...

My boyfriend and I have been thinking about names for a while now (even since before we got pregnant!) and we both really like Sofia. However, he likes it spelled Sophia.

Any ideas on which version you prefer and why?

I like Sophia, unless you are going for a more Spanish or Italian feel, then do Sofia. Either one is beautiful so you can't go wrong.

Sophia is the most popular girl name so I think if you spell it Sofia she will always be telling people it's Sofia with an f.

I agree with this.

Sofia is #19 ... So it is not like the spelling is unpopular. It is still very very popular.

I didn't realize it was so high! I suppose people will probably just ask her then so it doesn't really matter.
