  • Fine. I think dressing up your dog as a reindeer (or similar) is really ugly. It's not cute at all. Dogs are dogs. Let them be!

     There *whew* I said it!

Haha! I used to say "butthurt" in high school all the time and my mom would get so mad at me every time.  After that whenever I wanted to piss her off I would say "Aw mom are you butthurt?!"  Oops, I was kind of a brat  Stick out tongue

There is no reason to not return your cart to the cart return things. I don't care if its on the other side of the parking lot, you just do it.

Eh, if I have both boys with me when it is raining (like today) and I can't find a spot near the cart corral there is no way I am 1) dragging my kids through the rain to return it, then to run back to the car or  2) leave them alone in the car if I have to walk more than maybe 10 feet away.  Just. not. happening.

I only do this when Reece is with me... I put him in the car first and then unload my groceries and stick the cart by my car when I am done... if the cart return is next to me or a short distance I will take it there but never would I take more than 5 steps away from my car with Reece inside.

  • I posted about sperm and egg cakes, that wasn't exciting enough for you?!?

Okay, I'm not sure if this is a uo or an fffc but here it is: I don't think my baby is the cutest baby ever, or the most wonderful or anything. I think he is great and he has given me new purpose in my life, etc etc. but I can objectively look around and know that there are cuter babies here, at daycare, church...not too many, but there are, and I'm okay with that. ;)

I dislike Thomas the Tank Engine, I think he is weird.  I also dislike the mustache frenzy that is going on right now.  I don't like when men have mustaches, so I definitely don't want to go to a party that the whole theme is upper lip hair.

Haha, I agree!!  I feel like every man I know looks like Chester the Molester!  Oh, and good luck with the Thomas thing!  Boys find that train no matter how hard you try to hide him from them.

Since I put DS in the car first, I don't always return it. Only if it's close by. 1) I always put him in first, because I don't want someone taking him and 2) I am not going to leave him in the car alone to return my cart, because again I don't want someone taking him.

I just put my baby/kid in the car, lock it and take the buggy to the thing. If its 100 degrees out I might just leave it there buy the car propped on the curb so it won't move. If the weather is nice and I only have my baby she rides in the cart to the thing and then I take her out and carry her back to the car.If my kids are with me I might have my 12 year old push it to the  cart thing if we are close to it. Depends on my mood I guess.

I think its funny that people get upset over grocery carts.

  • Maybe this belongs on tomorrows fffc post, but yes, i leave my kids in the car to return my cart. it is never more than five or six cars away maximum. with two kids it just is not feasible to always bring them to return my cart and then carry the baby and walk my toddler back to the car. i put them in the car, lock it, and quickly move my butt to return the cart. i think the chances of someone breaking into my car, undoing the car seat, and yanking my kids out all in the twenty seconds it takes to return my cart are a lot lower than the chances of one of us being injured or hit by a car while standing or walking across to lot to return the cart.

  • Since I didn't get to UO til late tonight - I will gladly redo.

    1.  I think gender reveal parties are stupid. I didn't used to think this - and actually wanted to do one. Then I realized how much work and money I'd have to put into it just to say 3 words for the same reaction...with less cake.

    2.  I hold grudges against certain students who cause me to become sick. For instance, there is a 6th grade girl who coughed on me (pretty nastily I'll say) back in a Sept when she was in 4th grade. Every time I am in her classroom, I give her the side eye because I KNOW she's the one who got me sick...

And today a young 3rd grade boy coughed too close to me during reading group - and now my throat hurts...just sayin.

    3.  Glee is starting to suck this year. I could care less about Rachel's collegiate endeavors and Kurt's fashionista dreams.

    4. And I agree - mixing LED's with regular lights looks like crap. But then again - I think all LED lights look like crap.

My UO is that I don't understand why people think that adult women need to be defended from each other on an internet forum. You're not being bullied if someone disagrees with you, however vociferously she might do so.  There's no imbalance of power for someone to capitalize on; we're all equals here. If someone threatens your life or wellbeing, call the authorities.  Otherwise, it's time to manufacture a thicker skin.

    I love this opinion!

I always park near a cart return. I load my groceries in the car, drop my monster purse in the front seat, then return the cart with Cody. I always, always have my keys and Cody with me. Cody because duh! He's important. My keys, because I'm terrified of locking him in the car. They are never in the car without me.

I think women should always have painted toe nails. Naked toes are for men, old ladies and kids. I just finished painting my nails with a green glitter polish. They match our tree.

Granted, I live in San Diego, so I don't have to deal with this.  But I grew up on the east coast, and my opinion is, it's just rain.  They won't melt.  You can take them through the rain to the cart return and then carry them back.  And if it's freezing out, you've pushed them from the store to your car, so theoretically you dressed them warmly enough to withstand the elements.  I agree with the UO, I don't understand not returning your cart.  If you really hate the walk with a baby that much, just drive around until you can get a spot near a cart return.

I want to agree, but nail polish is so hard on my nails. If I wear it too long, it starts to damage them. I have to at least give them a break through the colder months.

Agreed!!! My DH mixed them because that's what we have and I think it looks soooo tacky. It's driving me nuts. Our wreath and 2 little tree things by our front door have white lights and the rails and bushes are covered with LEDs.

We maybe have 6 cart returns in all of our grocery stores huge parking lots. So, me driving around until I find one I can park by isn't going to happen. I suppose I am supposed to put DS in his carseat load all my groc. then get him back out then return the cart then return and put him back in the carseat that he cries to be put in, in the first place. HA okay. That's not going to happen either. Sorry but sometimes I don't put my cart up, I put them where people can still park in the parking spot though. Smile
