This was what was said to me this morning by my 2 co-workers (Men) this morning. My 2 year old DD, soon to be 3 of course loves pop tarts, who doesn't, right?? I was saying how our morning was rushed and she ate her favorite, a purple pop tart on the way to daycare this morning. How dare they criticize me?!?! I fired back with, "You guys have no idea what my kid eats! She eats very healthy and I provide nutritious meals for her. Just b/c I let her have a purple pop tart once in a while doesn't make me a bad Mom." Ugh....Please tell me the pregnancy hormones are making me want to punch them in the face. One guy has never had kids and the other guys' kids are grown adults. One of the guys just yesterday told me that my husband must have low-standards in women. Yes, low personal blow towards me. It's taking every ounce of my being today to not walk out. I'm a raging hormonal maniac today. Please tell me I'm just being ultra sensitive and shouldn't care what they think or what they say to me!

Thank you! Just making sure I'm not crazy.
Tried to embed this an it didn't work...enjoy!

Any of us who are over 30 grew up in a time before major nutritional movements, before militant breast feeding pressure, heck before parents were told not to drink alcohol and smoke... and we all turned out fine.
Next time your coworker says something, I would ask them if they were raised on a whole food vegan diet with no sweets, and when they say "No", ask them if they think they turned out OK.
You just made my freakin' day

Right on.
For sure. That's completely unacceptable, no matter what.
Clearly these boring goons have never known the joy of a poptart.
You should tell them to remove the sticks up their @sses so you can whack them over the head with them.
LOL. Best clip!
And for the OP- Pop Tarts ARE amazing.. and my mom gave them to me too. And I turned out just fine. And those guys have no idea what they are talking about.
This!!
My DH introduced my almost 3-yr-old to poptarts a few weeks ago and he asks for one just about every morning. I wasn't completely thrilled that he introduced them to him only because he throws a fit now if I refuse him. That being said, I would've throat punched those dudes. The neighbor kids growing up were refused almost all sweets and their mother had them on strict nutrition plans. When they came over to play at my house, they'd nearly lose their minds over a graham cracker and the only reason they wanted to come to our house was for "treats" that weren't even really treats. It was kind of pathetic how obsessive they became about it.
Give the kid the darn poptart.
I would report him to HR for this comment...that's harassment and totally uncalled for. He's creating a hostel work environment. A-hole.
This, along with the other two PPs that suggested reporting him. Definitely.
edited for clarity and spelling
My mom would let me have cake and ice cream for breakfast!... Other than that I ate very healthily and I still do.... and I totally have the occasional pop tart still !!!
I seriously can't believe that low standards comment either. I would definitely file a complaint.
I agree that the comment about your husband having low standards is report-worthy.
I don't necessarily agree with everything people feed their kids, but there is no way in hell I would ever voice my opinion to them. None of my damn business. Those guys are asses for sure.
I would let the Pop Tart comment roll of your back because, yeah it's not a stellar choice let's just own that move on. If you feed your kid well otherwise, than it should be easy to laugh that off.
Probably the reason it bothered you so much was the other comment which IS highly offensive and extremely inappropriate.
SAHM to two sweet girls, both born at home; Baby #3 in 2013!
You can tell them this chick online fed her 4y/o 5 chocolate donuts and her 2y/o a bowl full of Cheetos for breakfast, per their request. The 5, 6, and 8 y/o had whatever nutritious breakfast the school served this morning. Oh, and the fetus had Cheetos for breakfast too. And they were d*mn good.
Also, tell Mr. "Low Standars" that his wife must be a glutton for punishment since she chose him to be her husband and it's apparent she probably got tired of his ugly lame ass wallering on top of her a long time ago which must be why he's such a douche nozzle to women!
I did call him a D$%K HEAD after he said that about me. I felt he deserved it
I would be super annoyed. Of course, this is coming from the mom whose kid ate Hershey Kisses before breakfast this morning. St. Nick left them in his shoes last night. I wasn't going to tell him no.
I would seriously stab the low standards guy.

No, we didn't
There are a hell of a lot worse things you can feed a kid for breakfast. Notice how she mentioned they were in a hurry? Yea... sounds like this was a pretty rare event in her house.
You feed your kid POPTARTS?!?!
