I'm assuming some of you got copies of your operative reports when you were researching your VBAC options. I just got a copy of mine today and was surprised how few details there were.
Regarding the actual surgery, it just said I had a low transverse incision and no complications. There were a few more details about what led to the c-section, but not much about the actual surgery.
So I'm curious - is that going to be enough for my OB to say that I'm a good candidate? I'm in the middle of moving (so I don't have a doctor atm to ask).
Re: operative report from CS
My operative report had details about how big/where the incision was made, what kind of suture technique was used at various levels, estimated blood loss, etc. It gave little detail about what lead to the surgery, but the NICU report had that detail. However, I think a lot of decisions to vbac are made without the details of the surgery itself.
