1st Trimester

Ovulation dates off or MC?

This is what has gone through my head everyday for the last week!  Last Thursday we went for our "6" week appt and first u/s.  They saw the sac and fetal pole but not a "baby" and heartbeat.  The Dr said I was probably just off a week or even just a few days on my ovulation calculations, to come back next thursday (tomorrow) and hopefully we will see a baby.  I'm so scared out of my mind!  We've been through two MC's already so I'm even more terrified.  Our previous MC's I was cramping and bleeding and actually lost the babies so to hear that the baby could just stop growing is just so scary to me and unexpected.  Have any of you been through this? (I assume prob more than I think).  Please tell me there are some success stories, where you went back the next week and there was a healthy baby?  I need some hope. TIA

  • A third trimester lurker here. I went in for my first ultrasound and based on LMP, I should have been about seven weeks. Based on what they saw, he said I looked closer to five weeks. I went in a few weeks later and saw a beautiful little blob and a heartbeat meaning that I ovulated late. Here I am at 37 weeks and anxious to meet my little one! It happens more than you think. GL and positive vibes being sent your way!

  • that's wonderful to hear!  Thank you for commenting.  I normally would not be so paranoid but after what we have been through with the last two it's safe to say that I am.

Oh, I totally understand. I was worried like crazy and I haven't had any MC. Sending sticky dust your way...I hope it turns out a success story!

  • I have a 28 day cycle so I was worried when they couldn't see a heartbeat at my first appt I went in at 6 weeks because i was spotting and then at 8 weeks there it was! I just ovulated later, apparently.
