Question: Childcare costs in your area

We are in the western suburbs of Chicago and strongly considering a daycare that is 280 a week for infant care. Most seem to be around 250 a week.

It's official... I need to move! I have daycare at work for $300 a week, which is the cost for employees! For the daycare down the road, they are almost $500 a week, but really highly recommended! For the person who has a 4 bedroom house for $150k.... I paid more for my 1 bedroom co-op, in a high rise building, and my monthly maintenance for the building is more then my mortgage payment! I live in Westchester County in NY, which is just outside the city.

I'm in orlando fl. I pay $120 a week for my son. All I have to bring are diapers. When I was nursing and doing formula I brought that too. She feeds him breakfast, lunch and dinner if he stays plus snacks. It's an in home daycare with only 5 other kids. We LOVE Ms.Ada! She is amazing. She also started potty training my 20 month old so that I'm hopefully only changing 1 baby's diapers come May 2013!

I'm in the Chicago 'burbs and pay about $300/wk (give or take depending on how old the kid is). However, that is the low end. My friend takes her daughter to a more expensive place that is about $430 a week.

I'm in the western 'burbs, too. I haven't seen/heard anything around $250...where is that?

Dallas TX. We paid $825 for three days a week 630 to 630. It was well over $1000 for full time. I went part time at work now and she is no longer in daycare.
