A while back, a mom of two older girls was telling me how parents all have it wrong and shouldn't be wanting our kids potty trained so quickly. Her advice was to keep them in diapers as long as possible, because once their potty trained you have to be ready to find a toilet at the drop of a hat when you're out in public, abandoning whatever you're doing at the time. I was chuckling as I remembered her opinion the other day at the grocery store when I overheard not one but two fathers being told by their young children (5ish years old) that they had to go to the bathroom NOW.
Just thought I'd share another perspective.

Re: S/O Potty Training
While I have no doubt about that, she wasn't even talking about the training stage. She was saying after they're trained, it's still much more inconvenient than diapers. At least in public.
