Can't stop eating!!!

This is ridiculous....just finished dinner about an hour ago and am hungry already.  It was a good dinner (fish, rice pilaf, roasted cauliflower).  I just eat all the time!  Anyone else feeling like this?

  • I made the mistake of going grocery shopping with out eating first. Needless to say I spent almost all of our 2 week budget for food in one trip. Oops. I bought so much snacky food, some of it healthy though like red peppers/cucumbers and dip. But also chips, chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, crackers and cheese etc etc, Just finished dinner about 15 mins ago and waiting for a load of laundry to finish and then putting the girls to bed, then snack time!!

  • I feel ya! I'm a teacher and at this point my students comment if I'm not eating. "Miss, where's your yogurt/goldfish/crackers/carrots?" I don't even feel bad about it! My mom used to say that you wouldn't sleep a long time if your body didn't need it. Well I figure I wouldn't be hungry if I didn't need it too.

  • Yup.  Grapes, then a "chick'n" cutlet with rice and spinach, then a cookie and a little debbie christmas tree cake, THEN a bowl of cereal.  I don't feel guilty, even!
  • Yep! Especially when I come home from work, I eat breakfast before, lunch during, and when I come home about 3 dinners. lol

  • A couple days ago, I was just eating because it was time to be eating.  But yesterday and today I am always starving!  Last night I even woke up and had to eat twice in the middle of the night.  Ridiculous.

    Needless to say, I've been constantly snacking in between meals.

  • I've been starving since I hit about 20 weeks. Pretty sure I gained 4 lbs from 20-22 weeks, and then I just got back from a cruise where I gained about 3 lbs in a week. Oops. If I gain less than 40 lbs this time, I will be thrilled. (I gained about 60 lbs with DD1 and DD2.)

  • Your dinner sounds delicious and very healthy, so kudos to you!  But it also sounds rather lean.  Try adding an avocado salsa to the top of your fish for some extra good fats.  Have a side of almonds or other nuts with your lunch/snack.  A full-fat plain greek yogurt with chopped fresh fruit for breakfast.

    That's the only way I'm filling up, otherwise I want to reach for the ice cream an hour later!

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one!  LOL.  I feel like I'd eat the house if I could.  Ha ha.  Yeah, I gain a lot when pregnant but I lose about half or more in the first 2 weeks.
