Family get together last night..yeah!

My mom flew in again this week and we had a "party" last night to show off our new house. My cousin and his girlfriend (who is due about 1 month before me) came over. She had me cracking up laughing and is definantly one of the sweetest people I know (although we had the VMA"S on and she had a few choice words twords Kanye West...but who didn't)

About half way through dessert My cousin (who usually isn't this brainless) looked at the two of us a said this gem.

"you know it is amazing gracie how you are not as far along as D but you are so much bigger than her..."

D and I both stopped eating and gave him a squinty eyed look of disdain.

DH just closed his eyes and said..."oh...dude...man...noooo"

everyone else just went silent. He knew he had inserted his foot in his mouth. Bless him he tried to make it better.

"but you know everywoman is diffrent and you will probably have no trouble losing all the weight while D is still trying because she has gained more weight than you...right hunny you have gaind what like 23 pounds..."

At this point D's face is bright red....

DH looked at him and said..."man...just stop talking and eat your cake!"

Later he apologized to both of us and told us we were both beautiful and asked us not to kill him in his sleep! lol

My poor cousin...I know he ment well but he isn't used to being around pregnant women (or women in general actually...he goes out on his boat for about a month at a time with a one month break in between) I hope he learns! lol

    LOL poor guy. At least he apologized and realized that he had inserted his foot into his mouth lol. Your DH's response made me LOL thanks for sharing that story!

    Hehe, your husband's reactions were perfect.

    My hubby had to react for me last night too when I was standing in shock as one of my friends was groping my other pregnant friend's belly (she's 9mo.) and I told the pregnant friend "Thank God she's been good about not grabbing my belly".... and the groping friend said...

    (wait for it)

    "Yours is still flabby.  I only like the hard ones."

     DH said "um, there's no flab here" and felt my belly... I don't think said friend was even listening at that point though, and I hope she wasn't.  She can steer clear of my belly.  :P
