My son is about 2 weeks shy of his first birthday. He has always been a "decent" sleeper (probably good for 4-5 9-hour nights per week). He has recently started having a lot of nightwaking due to what seems to be separation anxiety. He screams bloody murder and then calms as soon as we go into his room and/or pick him up. (His separation anxiety during the day is there, but not extreme). We have tried CIO with limited success. It worked 1 or 2 nights, but he also cried for an hour nonstop and only stopped when I picked him up. Last night he got so hysterical he vomited up his entire dinner. The only thing that seems to keep him calm is cosleeping, which I don't really mind except that neither of us sleeps well at all. I am a FTM and at a loss. Have any of you experienced this and what did you do?
