We missed FFFC, so FFSC instead???

Mason did not get dressed in real clothes at least 3 days this week. Pajamas all day and new pajamas at night. We haven't been out as much lately.

My Christmas tree smashed onto my hardwood floor the other day, and we lost so many of our ornaments. Special ones that we have collected over the years. It took a lot for me to hold back tears, and I am not a cryer. It still makes me sad thinking about it. The pathetic part is that I still haven't anchored the tree to the wall yet, so it could potentially happen again. I need to buy some fishing line to do this tomorrow!

I am 35+ weeks pregnant, and I still haven't bought anything for this baby (aside from a second crib and Ergo). We still need diapers, bottles, a going home outfit (all he has are hand-me-downs so far - he deserves one new outfit!), a baby swing, a breast pump, baby tub, post-partum supplies, and so on and so on. I gave away a lot of things that my sister is still using. I am screwed if this baby comes early, but it still doesn't motivate me to get everything done.

I may be HUGE this pregnancy, but I would like to shout out on the rooftop that I still have no stretch marks!!! I know that this is absolutely the way to jinx myself, but I don't care. My confession is that I am quite narcisistic about this, probably because I dislike a lot of other things about my appearance.

FWIW, I'm jealous that you don't have stretch marks.  I swear I had them by month 5 last time.  Good for you!!

  • We just bought DS a new pair of shoes.  From Stide Rite.  They were $50.  DH almost crapped his pants.  He asked why we couldnt just get shoes from Target/Walmart.  I said because its good for his fee to have these instead.

I know that the other shoes would be perfectly fine, and I'm sure next pair will be from there.  But I told felt afterwords like I was being a brand-whore for my son.

    Go ahead, judge.

I bought 2 pairs at stride rite yesterday for $70. They were having a buy 1 get 1 half off sale. When they told me the first pair was $50, I felt like like a part of my brain exploded. I don't even spend that much on my own shoes!

I only justified it by saying "it's like I spent $35 each" even that seems crazy for baby shoes!!

Seriously! I dont spend that much for my shoes either!  I always get them at Kohls with 30% off.

I only buy DS Stride Rite shoes, and I pay full price if there's not a sale when I need them.  However, he only has one pair of shoes that he wears every single day, so I don't feel bad about it.  I've bought 2 pairs in his entire life... $80 / 16 months =  $5/month.

Bah!  I was tiny with DS... people said I looked about 20 weeks pregnant when I gave birth (and I was 9 days overdue!).  That being said, I started getting stretch marks at 27 weeks.  Lame.

  • Whenever my dog whines, I feel like throwing things at him. Nothing large or heavy, just something that would make him stop. I'm just irrationally bothered by his whining.

  • I have spent way too much money that I do not have on Christmas.

I am so terrified that DH is going to back out of TTC again that it makes me want to cry. I have like, no faith that he will come through this month.

Check this out. As with everything else here (in Canada) - strides cost even more than that (doesn't help that we pay 13% tax in Ontario) - I paid $70 for ONE pair of strides. Gulp.

My FFSC is that I am still hanging from last night's staff Christmas party, and so my H just picked up McDonalds, and I definitely got a 10 piece. And I AM loving it.

No judgment here. I loooove See Kai Run shoes and just bought DD a new pair of those. I got them for 26 though, so I felt a lot better about it even though most of my shoes don't cost that much either. I do feel like I at least have some good reasoning though... They're so much better for their feet, plus, we bought a pair at WalMart that were on clearance that were just to wear at church when her other shoes didn't match and well, she wore them once and they're scuffed up beyond repair and gave her blisters that took weeks to heal. So I feel better having shoes that will last.

I paid $80 for Geox in Canada. I had major buyers remorse while walking out of the store but I do love the shoes for Dylan.

  • I buy stride rite's too -- it's lke engrained into my DNA that they're so much better for their foot development, and he grabs and pulls at any other brand I buy.
