My son is 3 months old and I just went back to work the other day. I had daycare give 2. oz of BM and 2 oz of formula for each feeding because I don't think I'll be able to keep up with just BM. I follow the E.A.S.Y routine, feeding him after every nap which tends to be feeding him every 3 hrs or so depending on how long his naps are. He eats about 4 oz. If I switch to formula comletely, do I keep this same routine with the same amount, 4 oz.? Or switching to formula from breast milk, do you feed less often because it digests slower? And if this is so, how does that effect the e.a.s.y routine.
Also, introducing you LO to formula, is it normal for them to be really gassy the first night and following day? I didn't know if he just needs to get use to it or maybe I should try a sensitive stomach formula.
Sorry for being all over the place! TIA Ladies.

if anyone is interested.
I use BM and FF for bottles. I would use the same amount and the same schedule you've been using. My supply has always been VERY low so it's mostly formula. I have kept the same schedule no matter if the bottles are all formula, all BM , or combo. DD goes about 3-4 hours between feedings as well.
Yes, it is normal for gas/constipation/diarrhea when switching to formula or even between different formulas. I would wait a week to see if the gas subsides.
