Any one elses baby have pooping problems? Poor little guy grunts and cries and turns red. Doctor recommended apple juice daily but I'm looking for a better fix. His product is sometimes so hard it's not even funny. Suggestions?
DS just went through this. We made sure he got prunes, pears or peaches every day until he was back to normal (took a little less than a week). The doctor also told me to avoid cooked carrots and I had heard that bananas can be binding so we avoided those as well. Pear juice also helped. (Gerber makes a baby version and they have small individual size bottles in a 4 pack so you don't have to buy a big bottle and waste most of it. We only needed one small bottle before DS was better so now we have three more if needed again in the future!)
Also, Plum brand makes a spinach, peas and pears mix. DS always has a big poop the day after he eats it!
Are you giving him rice cereal and or bananas? If so, That may be one of your problems. I'd switch to oatmeal and cut out bananas. They gave DS terrible constipation. Also, prunes are great and increase fruits and veggies. GL!
