So because I'm a nerd I was curious to see what the stats looked like now that November is one day away from being over. I thought it would be neat to post what your EDD was and then what day you actually delivered (or if you're still waiting.) Also throwing in some other random questions - I know people have posted their birth stories but I can't remember all of them lol!
What was your EDD?
What day did you actually deliver? Or are you still waiting?
Where did you give birth? (Hospital, home, birthing center, taxi cab, etc.)
How did you deliver? (Vaginal, C-Section, etc.)
And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future?

Vaginal birth
And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future?
I thought I wanted to have at least one more child. Now the thought of giving birth again kind of scares me. Maybe if I hadn't torn so badly... Although now that I look back on the whole experience it doesn't seem so bad... Vague answer, I guess we'll see what the future holds.

Not like the act of giving birth, but having Cu here makes it sure hard for me to think of future children and having to split up my attention.

I'm still undecided, but leaning towards yes. It was a very quick labor, and even though it was painful my recovery has been good, so I think I would do it again.

Vagianl after his BM pushed for a whopping 2 1/2 hours!
And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future?
DS was brought to us through adoption. We have a fabulous birth mom and have a really good relationship with both her and her mom. She has been a dream Birth Mom to anyone who has been touched by adoption. You hear a lot of horror stories surrounding adoption. Because of the ease of this process I am actually very hesitant to go through the process again. I fear that it won't go as easy and fabulous as it did this time around and that scares me!

How did you deliver? (Vaginal, C-Section, etc.) vaginal
And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future? birth experience would be about the same, it sucked at first (water broke and had to induce with pitocin) but after I got an epidural it was nice. Pregnancy sucked though. I will still have more kids just maybe not as many as I was originally planning. What day did you actually deliver? October 12th due to IUGR and absent end diastolic cord flow
Where did you give birth? (Hospital, home, birthing center, taxi cab, etc.) Hospital, and not the one I wanted or had planned on, but we had to go to the one with the NICU because he was so early
How did you deliver? (Vaginal, C-Section, etc.) emergency C-section in the middle of the night.
And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future? I would say just as likely. I had planned for a med free birth, but after a c-section being much easier than I expected, I might be inclined to just for it again next time.

Where did you give birth? hospital
How did you deliver? vaginal
And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future? Giving birth was fine and if I were basing having more children only on the birth experience, I would say yes definitely. However, I had a sucky pregnancy experience (high-risk that resulted in a premature baby). So based on the pregnancy experience, I will not be having anymore children in the future. One and done. Happy with my one though.

How did you deliver? (Vaginal, C-Section, etc.)
vaginal
And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future?
More likely. After my first I knew I wanted at least one more because I loved having siblings so I didn't want an only child. But this time around my labor was super fast and my recovery was fairly easy so I'm liking the idea more than after the first. But I'm still not wiling to get pregnant until she's at least one!

Where did you give birth? (Hospital, home, birthing center, taxi cab, etc.) Hospital... barely!! I had a VERY quick labor and delivery (2 hours after water broke, 15 mins after parking the car at the hospital)
How did you deliver? (Vaginal, C-Section, etc.) Vaginally, no meds (not planned that way). We were known on the L&D floor as the "drive-by birth".
And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future? If all births were like my first, I could totally see myself being the next Michelle Duggar! Haha, in all seriousness, it sucked for about 1 hour, but was totally worth it and I already have baby fever again... which I totally didn't expect!!What was your EDD?

Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future?
A few weeks ago I was convinced that I would only have this one child. Now that I've held him in my arms I want just one more. My husband and I have already discussed it and we will wait 3-4 years and try to conceive again.

Birth is the easy part for me. It's the raising, potty training, then paying for activities, college and weddings that will leave us with two... Most likely, though that could change. insert smiley. Too bad we didn't win the powerball!

What was your EDD?
November 13 based on measurements at 17 weeks, BUT based on the day I'm 99% sure I conceived, November 17. I had a "feeling" about the 17th all pregnancy.
What day did you actually deliver? Or are you still waiting?
Sure enough, the 17th!
Where did you give birth? (Hospital, home, birthing center, taxi cab, etc.)
Hospital birthing center. Wonderful experience. Very hands off medical staff (except of course for the important stuff!), and they let me labor however worked for me.
How did you deliver? (Vaginal, C-Section, etc.)
Vaginally, with an epidural and (unfortunately) an episiotomy.
And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future?
I don't know I would say it was the actual act of giving birth, because I think I begged for my tubes tied a few times during pushing, but I definitely want more. Before getting pregnant, I wasn't sure I would ever want children of my own. I think if we hadn't been surprised with Bird, I would have kept waiting for that "perfect time" that would never come. Now I can't imagine not being a mom. I say all the time that I wake up in the morning, and I get to be SO's partner and Bird's mom, so I have the best job in the world. We're working on adjusting to a newborn and planning a wedding, so we won't be having another anytime soon, but I'd like 2-3 more.
What was your EDD? Nov 2nd
What day did you actually deliver? Sept 12th (delivered at 32 weeks) I was the 1st Nov mom to pop. Easy pregnancy! Baby girl just wanted out 8 weeks early and water broke unexpectedly.
Where did you give birth? In hospital. After water broke, docs tried to keep baby inside me for as long as possible and put me on strict bed rest in the hospital. That only lasted 2 days. Baby wanted out!
How did you deliver? Vaginal. 2 hours of labor with no meds. Only a couple stitches needed for a 1st degree tear. No problem pushing out a small 3 lb 9 oz baby girl.
Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future? FTM here and will definitely have more kids.

And one more just for fun... Has giving birth made you more/less likely to have more children in the future?
DS is our third child and I really thought we were 100% done. Now I think we are about 80% done. DH wants at least one more child and I told him that if we are able to get out of this house and into a bigger one relatively soon, I would consider having another. DS's awesome birth definitely has something to due with my change in feelings about being 100% done. It was a quick labor and I only pushed twice. I wish all three of my births were that easy.

I had great experiences with both births, regardless of the back labor. I think it is the pregnancies that I've had that would make me rethink having more children(hypermesis with both).
We'll see in 5-6 years....
