I guess this is where I would fall. This is the term for when you have at least one successful pregnancy and then experience multiple losses in a row. I was just wondering who out there might be in this same boat? What kind of treatments, if any, have you been trying? If you're comfortable, share your age?
I wish I could isolate my age as a factor in my repeated losses. I don't know if the recurrent losses are just due to my age and having poor egg quality now. Or if there could be something else at play such as immunological issues or scarring on my ute or maybe just the low progesterone. Anyway, I will have testing coming up to help answer some of this I hope. But just looking for any ladies out there in a similar situation.
TIA and hugs to all this morning.

Re: Secondary Recurrent Miscarriage?
4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal
5 IUIs = BFN
All AL are welcome

**DD mentioned below**
I have a DD who we had no trouble conceiving and carrying, and have had nothing but losses since TTC #2. I've had all the repeat loss testing done and general fertility testing, and they did find that I have low AMH (an indicator of not a lot of eggs left). This means I have more of a chance of releasing an abnormal egg each month. Two different specialists have recommended IVF, so after a year and a half this heartache, we're going to do IVF in January.
As far as age, I was 32 when I conceived DD and 33 when she was born. We started TTC #2 when I was 35 and I'm 36 now. I'm sure age does play a part in this for me, but unfortunately I cant change it.
There's some good info in the blot about repeat loss testing. Also, maybe post on the Secondary IF board? All the ladies there have had a successful pregnancy and our struggling with #2 (or more). HTH!

Thanks so much again all - I wish none of us were going through this, but it helps so much to connect with others that are having similar challenges. It makes me feel not as alone when all around me are friends who have now already had their second children... and who are probably just as tired of telling me how sorry they are and that I am in their thoughts and prayers as I am of telling them of another loss.
I have actually narrowed it down to one person I think I will share any of this journey with now other than my husband. Not even my family - my BFF, who is like my sister. She is the only one who has truly been so supportive even though she hasn't had these kinds of problems. I used to think talking to people - a select few though - would be a great idea to make me feel supported. But after this most recent upcoming loss - I just can't bear to hear any more of the same comments. And then there are those, who are genuinely sweet and intelligent - but they say, "Oh, well maybe you just need to stop testing and trying so hard and it will just happen!" Like waving a magic wand right?? Ugh. I know they mean well and if I was even five years younger I might have time to do that, but at my age I just don't have a month to waste.
LSzwaya - Thanks for touching base - I'm so sorry you're going through this hell too. But I have to say your siggy pic is GREAT! Love the little robot!
RunningGal - Good luck with all your tests. I hope they come back with some helpful info for you. I would think the same thing - that since I have a healthy child that there wouldn't be any genetic mutation problem. I didn't know that it could still exist even if you have a healthy child. Thanks for sharing that - I really hope you get some answers from the round of tests coming up.
baby101010 - I'm sorry you're in this boat too. I had no idea that you could have a uterine septum after having a healthy pregnancy. Thanks for posting about it. I will be keeping you in my thoughts as well for that sticky bean!
