Vigorous rubbing...

So, for the past couple weeks, LO has been rubbing his face on my chest when he is laying on me and he does it vigorously and I wasn't quite sure what it was. I looked it up and found that it means that he is really tired and should be put down for a nap when I notice him doing it.  

Does anyone else have a LO doing this?

    He rubs and bangs his head on my chest or pillow till he goes to sleep. It's really normal. My friend still bangs her head on her pillow to go to sleep. It's just one of those mechanisms babies use to go to sleep. As well as rocking or humming.

    Chloe has been doing this since she was about a month old. She fights it a lot though.

    Yep, every time I rock him in the rocking chair, while I'm rocking him to sleep. The only bad thing is he'll be almost asleep and then do it and wake himself up.

    Ds rubs his face on me when I'm putting him down for a nap. He's done this since he was about a month or so old. Sleep follows very quickly after.

    my lo does this too, and shes been rubbing her face a lot lately.

    Yes ma'am, my little bean now sports a nice bald spot on the back of her head because of it.

    They really are gross! By that point, I was glad she was asleep so not phased by the booger. Lol

    Mine too! I was so proud when I was able to put her in her crib and have her fall asleep on her own until I saw where she had been rubbing her hair off. She has invented her very own special kind of mullet.

    Yeah, my LO does this all the time. He starts to do it when he's sleeping and winds up waking himself up afterwards.

    Lol.. Yup! I thought it was just my baby cause ODS never did this.
