1. How are you?
Excited and bummed. Excited because we have entered the Christmas season, which is my favorite time of year. Bummed because vacation is over and my wife and I are both back to work. This is the last stretch of time we will spend together where it will just be the 3 of us, my next real stretch of time off will be for the birth of #2.
2. Weekend highlight / lowlight?
Highlight was decorating the tree and having my 23 month old "help" and be so fascinated with the tree, so much so, he wants to sit in front of it all the time... but it is in the front room, not the family room, so he can't and he gets upset about it. Apparently, he's got my love of Christmas already. Lowlight was going back to work on Saturday.
3. What are you looking forward to this week?
Not much going on this week really except work.
4. What did you love about your childhood that you hope to pass on to your own child(ren)?
I hope they get to see the world. I got to go see a bunch of places around the eastern US as a kid and I hope my kids get to do the same.
1. I'm good. Trying not to get stressed about the holidays! Love all the extra time I get to spend with my kids.
2. Highlight: Decorating for the holidays - cut down our tree, hung the ornaments, got the lights up.
Lowlight: My husband has been super stressed about work = no fun for anyone.
3. We are meeting with the architect on Wednesday to discuss plans to build an addition onto our new house. Can't wait, but afraid of how much it will all cost!
4. I loved growing up close to my cousins. Jocelyn loves hers too!
1. How are you?
Pretty good, Im on day 3 of 4 for work. Heart burn has kicked in greatly with this pregnancy starting last night. Prob didn't help that I had mcdonalds for breakfast, taco bell for lunch since I missed the cafeteria being open at work, and my husband brought home skyline chili for dinner last night, lol.
2. Weekend highlight / lowlight?
Friday we put up the tree together. It was a lot of fun and my 21 month old LOVED it. She kept put the ornaments on and off. We also went to Melting Pot on Saturday with my family to take advantage of the November Special. It was a huge splurge but fun. Lowlight: Work on Sunday and starting my four days on at the hospital with little time with my LO.
3. What are you looking forward to this week?
Thursday is our ultrasound to see the new baby and to see what we are having!!! Afterwards Im xmas shopping with my mom then the circus that night in Indy. I have a friend who is a clown for Ringling Brothers. She got us tickets for 5$ each and plans to give us a backstage tour of the show 1 1/2 hours before the show starts.
4. What did you love about your childhood that you hope to pass on to your own child(ren)?
My family love no matter how poor we are. My family was very poor but we never really knew. Mom cut coupons, cut corners whenever possible, hit sales. We did tons of FREE family stuff like hiking. I hope I can pass that to our LO's
1. How are you? Good. Almost ready for bed - I feel so old!
2. Weekend highlight / lowlight? Highlight - nothing much. Did some shopping damage at Menards for house stuff. Lowlight - nothing!
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Nada. Don't have anything major planned.
4. What did you love about your childhood that you hope to pass on to your own child(ren)? I loved to be outside and play sports. I hope our kids are as interested in sports as I was/am. I also loved hiking when we would go to state parks.
