Since we have the football player's babymama keeping this board interesting lately, I thought it would be fun to see if any of you other ladies have had a run-in/hookup/date with or plain old sighting of any celebrities or famous athletes?
In college I used to bartend in Wilmington, NC where they film a lot of CW shows and I kissed Chad Michael Murray (who I then thought was so hot but now think is pretty ugly) when I hung out with him and a few others from One Tree Hill one night. I found out later he was engaged at the time. No wonder they got divorced.
Randomly I met Slightly Stoopid when in line at the airport when my flight from Miami got cancelled and their flight from Costa Rica got cancelled. I had no idea who they were, but since we stayed in the same hotel that night they invited me and my girlfriends (college springbreak) to hang out with them. I've stayed in touch with the percussionist since and hooked one of my friends up with Miles the lead singer. That didn't last long before my friend randomly met Billy Currington (a country singer) and moved in with him in Nashville and dated him for a year. Random, I know.
I'd love to see/meet/touch Brad Pitt one day.......
Re: Celebrities/Athletes..just for fun.
Apparently when I worked at Universal Studios I assisted a few sports players, but didn't even recognize them lol.
I lived in the same neighborhood as a lot of Flyers players when i was in high school so I've seen plenty of them in passing.

I've also met Joe Haden and Peyton Hillis at a bar but that was a completely different scenario...
I met Nick Lachey in a hotel lobby a few years ago at the Reds opening day game. That was fun.
Last night I had a dream I saw Chad Johnson at a bar. So, I think that counts as meeting him, right?! Yep. It does.
Dude. I would die. I love me some Billy Currington. If he sang Let Me Down Easy to me, I'd marry him in 5 minutes. DH is fully aware of this. And my odd attraction to Willie from Duck Dynasty.
Well I worked in a 5***** hotel so here goes my fun line of work:
The best story: (I was 18)
John Mayor was coming to play in a local town and stay in our hotel. I made a plan with the bellman that they would call me and hang up (as to not give themself away) when he got here. It became a game of call and hang up... I acted mad after 11 calls adn went running around into the lobby and almost ran smack into him.... I came to a halting stop about 3 inches from him.. He started busting out laughing and said "HEY" with a look like THAT GIRL IS CRAZY!!!
The funniest story:
My BFF worked with me and when these two walked up to our hostess stand together she laughed at them and asked them who they thought they were (she apparently did not know they were famous) Cowboy Troy & 2ft Fred
Other Randoms:
Donald Trump, Paris Hilton (at a Marriott), Tim and Faith, George Bush(did not get to meet him security was RIDI), Jimmy Buffet
I was stationed in NYC at a small boat station (Coast Guard) and got to meet Matt Damon when the Adjustment Buereau was filmed (he was on the small boat I was a crew on). We also gave Prince Harry an escort once.
You might think differently of him now - she left him because he beat the sh*t out of her and was extremely insecure and controlling. He's a real ahole and did the same to his ex before her. It was hard for her to leave him since she was sucked into the lifestyle but I'm so glad she finally did.
As for Willie...I'm SO with you! I think Jace is pretty hot too except he's kind of a smart ass. I love Duck Dynasty haha!
I love Cowboy Troy... A rapping cowboy? Love iitttt
Is he cute in person? He seems like he'd be a fun one to hang out with!
Oh, I forgot, back when Trading Spaces was cool I met Hildy, Genevieve and the guy everyone thought was mean but I can't think of his name at the moment. I worked for P&G at the time and they came in to promote Swiffer wet jet mops. I have a picture with them.
Also, Vanessa Williams came in to promote Crest toothpaste, but I didn't get to actually speak to her.
I've met Carson Palmer twice at banking events when he was a spokesman (or whatever the word for that is) for the bank I worked for at the time. He is a lot hotter in person than I thought he would be. And his wife is gorgeous.
Who is this first part about?
My sister works at a concert venue with the catering staff and she played Fruit Ninja with John Mayer last summer. She said he's pretty funny.
Sorry I meant to quote the earlier post - Billy Currington.
He was super nice and pretty goofy. It was kind of a short boat ride but he made a joke about how we probably had better things to do than to give him an escort. He also gave one of the other ladies on the ride his polo shirt? So yes, he was very nice!
Seriously!?!? Yes, I do think of him differently now. That is horrible!!!
And Jace is cute too. I'm a smartass, so I think it's hilarious. haha.
Oh I gotcha, thanks... and I'm with you on Jace.
He honestly was not very nice...... Funny MAYBE...
BPaws!!! I knew you would beat me to this one!!! YUMMY JACE!!! Love him!
Yes, love Duck Dynasty. Willie doesn't do it for me but Jace is pretty hot!
I know you ladies are going to be super jealous
, but I have met a ton of Nascar drivers I can't list them all but I will say the nicest was Richard Petty. Other than Nascar I got nothing besides meeting baseball players but that was at their field so I don't count those.
When I was in elementary through junior high my dad insured Stone Cold Steve Austin (WWF wrestler). WWF was huge during those times and he took me and my brothers and sisters to see him when he had to get pictures of his vacation home for the policy. We all got pictures and autographs. I also grew up with The Undertaker's (another WWF wrestler) son and he lived with his mom a few houses down from me. One year in 5th grade he came to our field day and it was awesome.
On the real, Id love to meet Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson. Id love to touch Jason Statham and David Beckham.
I love both of these guys, but that movie was horrendous.
Cousin dated Mike Fisher (NHL) she dumped him for being full of himself.
Friend married Jay Mclemment (NHL)
I turned down Mike Smith (NHL) because I was with DH. He is extremely nice and fun to hang out with, very down to earth.
Brad Pitt's parents and brother live in the town I moved from. Sightings of him and Jennifer Aniston were pretty commonplace. They used to come get ice cream at the place I worked in college. Brad Pitt's brother came to our school for a few assemblies. He is involved in Care to Learn, an organization that provides necessities to kids. If I had a student who needed shoes, I just filled out a form with the size and I got them for him. The same went for food. The organization helped put together backpacks of food for kids on the weekend.
I went on a date with a minor league catcher. I don't remember his name so don't know if he ever made it big. He was a d!ck. I also dated a local celebrity for a few months. That was fun because all of the bartenders in the area knew I was with him so never charged me for drinks, even if I was out without him. I also got to eat out at some amazing restaurants. Of course, he was unfaithful. In fact, one of my best friends and I met because he was cheating on both of us with the other. He's SO classy, that when he had his bachelor party years later he called me at 2am to see if I'd meet him... Yeah... no thanks.
I have one other one... My cousin dated one of the actors from Sons of Anarchy. This guy: https://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120421075938/sonsofanarchy/images/c/c5/Happy-sons-of-anarchy-23440961-500-500-1.png apparently he lives in Oakland.
It didn't work out but she said he was a nice guy.
I have a job where I meet celebrities, athletes, or musicians on a regualr basis. When majority of sports teams come to Cincinnati, either football or baseball, they will stay at the hotel I work at. I work in sales and convention services so I have to assist with a lot of their stuff. Also, I am in charge of all tour groups that come through my hotel so I get to meet most of them. Huge perk of my job is getting free tickets to stuff.
I would say that some of the more famous people that I have met are: George Clooney, Ryan Goesling, Tim Tebow (if that is counted as famous), Dave Matthews, Drew & Nick Lachey, and an assortment of different athletes. They just seem like normal people anymore. You can't really let yourself get starstruck in my industry.
I would DIE!!! And jump him, then die again. Whatever you do, I'm super jealous. My only story is Stephen King, I grew up down the road from him and waited on him once when I was working at a movie theatre, him and his wife were going to see The Grudge which I found ironic.
I COULD have met Chris Hemsworth the man I'd leave DH for in a second, and he knows that. My old boss invited me to a convention in L.V. and met him. I couldn't go because ironically DH was coming home from deployment that same day. So I guess I wouldn't leave H for him
And some years back I dated a man who has quite a few dot com companies and owned a website predicting the demise of dot.coms when the bubble burst back in the early 2000's. I was in line at the grocery store a few years ago looking at the magazines, and there he was on the cover of Newsweek.
LOVE him! Also, which service is your spouse in?
Awe I totally forgot about the Soriano encounter . . . he was at a bar in DC where we were. He was very nice, got us drinks and flirted. I really enjoyed watching him play for the Nationals, even before we met him at the bar.
SCANDAL!
I just threw up a little in my mouth.
Proud Mama to cleft cutie
I also sat at the table next to Ray Allen ex Celtic now on the Heat at the Olive Garden when he was there with his charity. Nice guy even though he totally ditched Boston.
