  • Most risks associated with ultrasounds are theoretical in nature and would require a lot higher strength mHz then what is used. And remember correlation =/= causation.

I had 20 ultrasounds with DS and he is perfect. In fact, u/s saved his life.

  • I've read most of the responses and it seems that while someone stated their opinion, whether it was wanted or not, on ultrasounds others found it objectionable. I haven't done lengthy research on the subject myself but I do recall reading a bit from my previous pregnancy that the safety of prenatal ultrasounds was relatively unknown. As of now they think it's safe but there are many (dare I say, educated) people who aren't so sure that there could be side effects years down the road.

Will that stop me from getting one (hopefully) this Friday? No. But, my personal view is that it is good to get these opinions whether you totally believe them or not. Whether you lean toward the natural side, or are first in line for your vaccine.I think it's good for us to post information AND then do our own research and ask our doctors/midwives if it's a concern. Plus someone saying you don't have sources to back up your opinion, without posting opposing sources of their own, doesn't have much to stand on either.
