Soapy smell

So... I have noticed that my bottle nipples have started to smell soapy. Anyone any idea how to get rid of that? Vinegar? Baking soda? I guess I used to just boil them and not use dish soap and then my mother came and soaped them and now they smell. Sigh.

  • I have this problem with sippy cups...I will be watching this post.

  • When I noticed mine smelling soapy I put them in a container of water and microwaved them for a few minutes... it helped some. I couldn't do it too often though because for some reason my nipples started splitting and I think that was why,

  • I googled around and people say to soak them in hot water with baking soda and vinegar. I did not find amounts so just winged it. It's soaking now, I'll let you know how it went!

  • It worked!

Still looks like I have a high lipase issue though.
