Savings for Multiples

I'm wondering what information you MoM's can give on multiples discounts offered by manufacturer's??  Any companies give better discounts than others??  Any savings information that you could pass along to us MoM's-to-be would be much appreciated!!  I keep calculating the cost of diapers, wipes, formula etc for these two and it gives me anxiety!! :)

Re: Savings for Multiples

  • Someone has a big list of places they applied and what was needed. I haven't done it. We had a diaper/wipe shower and have not had to buy diapers yet. Still have 2 boxes left so probably run out round Christmas...good thing the girls have diapers on their list to santa!! ;) Formula is a pain in the butt tho! We do up and up brand and it saves a lot!

  • I don't know about any savings programs, but I've started to buy diapers every week. I usually buy a big box and we store them in our basement. I'm hoping to have enough to get is through the first year.

I'm not buying formula as my dd needed lactose free formula and I'm not sure what these two will need.

  • I know BRU will give you 10% off if you buy 2 identical items but can't combine with any org discount. I stocked up on diapers and wipes, and keep rebuilding my diaper stash with bj's sized boxes of diapers when they gave store cpn that I stack with manuf cpn.

  • I actually have a list of where I applied to and what I got in return even if it was a letter about them not having a program at this time. I suggest having the letters all ready to go out with the envelopes addressed and stamped. That way all you have to do is copy the birth certificates put in envelopes and mail them out. A lot of the companies only give out discounts before they are 3 years old. I had twins and some companies have a program but for triplets and up but still since I sent the letter and proof of birth they sent something.

Here's my list that I can think of off the top of my head

    Huggies- diaper and wipe coupons

Pampers/Luvs- diaper and wipe coupons for both brands

Triple paste- each girl receive a tub of diaper ointment. (for triplets and above they get a $200 gift basket)

Butt Paste- does not currently have a program

    Ocean Spray- coupons

Beech Nut- coupons, planning booklet, and rewards program information- two for each girl

    Gerber- one time $10 coupon

    Beiersodor- free samples

Earth's best- coupons for diapers, wipes, and baby food

    Sassy- buy one get one

Hasboro- $3 off coupon for each baby

    Johnson and Johnson- coupons

Enfamil- case of formula for each girl. They sent a letter asking me to call to give more details. Each baby receive a case for them with the formula that they used. (my one uses soy and that is what her case was my other regular she received that)

    Seven generation- coupons

    Mustella- coupons

First years- each baby got a rattle and a pack of sippy cups

Dr Browns- 2- 2 ounce bottles

Similac- call and ask for free samples

I also signed up with each formula company even if my girls did use that formula I trade the coupons for what I do use.

My girls are now 4 months and our gerber coupon this month came with not only the formula one but for stage 1 food as well.

Also ask your pediatrician or a MoM's group in your area.

Sorry for the post being so long. Hope this helps

  • Ask your ped or formula samples. My guys will be a month this week, and I've received roughly 30 8oz cans, and about 25 of the Pre mixed bottles of formula. I'm exclusively pumping now, but know this will come in handy down the road. I've found sams club had best deal on wipes (store brand, 900 wipes for $15), and up and up diapers from target work great.

  • I've been compiling a spreadsheet of discounts for multiples programs. I think I've heard back from everyone now, so /I want to share my findings... but I'm not sure how to do it since it's an excel spreadsheet.

I will try to make it a priority to figure it out this week, and I will share the link or whatever here!!!

  • I don't think anyone has said this yet (I might have missed it) but you have to send in a letter explaining that you have had twins, I included their birth date and some very basic info as well, and a copy of their birth certificates to prove that you had two (or more) babies at the same time.  :)  I received at least coupons back from most of them, a few came back as not available anymore.  Pampers sent the most coupons, along with Earth's best and Plum Organic.
