Do you know anyone who has used Rochester Co-op Preschool? I am starting to look into preschools and was thinking about a co-op. The one I was considering just recently changed to a drop-off preschool. The website is less than impressive compared to Troy Co-op.
Re: Rochester Co-op preschool - reviews?
A co-op preschool involves more parental participation. Parents take part in the running of the preschool. Most of the time, a parent needs to volunteer a certain number of hours in the classroom or provide assistance to the preschool. Some examples might be web design, parent communications, substitute teaching, membership, crafts, providing snacks, or just spending a certain number of days working in the classroom etc. They tend to be cheaper because the parents take on the administrative tasks.
A drop off preschool is a regular preschool. You drop your child off for the preschool session and pick them up at the end. I am sure there are ways for parents to get involved, but it is not required.
