My doctor said no hot yoga. The heat can cause excess water loss which is not good for the baby. She said that I need to stay very hydrated while working out so it is safe for me and the baby, and hot yoga isn't good.
Unless you had a regular practice before you got pregnant, it isn't a great idea.
I practiced Bikram yoga pre-pregnancy and do continue and will continue to practice as long as I care to. There are three instructors at my studio who are pregnant and lots of students who are too. As long as you have a solid practice beforehand and know how to modify poses for pregnancy, there's no problem.
That said, it sounds like you haven't been practicing it pre-pregnancy, so I wouldn't suggest starting it now.

I have been told to stay away from it, because of the heat and the excess sweating it can reduce the blood supply to the fetus.
