So are babies are a couple months old now so I thought I'd do a check in to see how it's going for the cloth diaper moms. Are you still using cloth, how do you like it? What diapers do you love? Are there any you don't like? Any problems so far?

Love it, love it, love it! I was concerned that I would hate the laundry aspect, but I've found it's pretty easy. We've had no blowouts, which was welcome after the first few weeks in sposies, and no diaper rash issues at all.
I adore Swaddlebees (best patterns ever!) and BG Freetime. I really like the BG Elemental, though I hate the dry time. I like my FuzziBuns, though I'm not a big fan of stuffing them, so they've become my back-up diapers. And I cannot stand my Thirsties- they leak, no matter what I do.
Edit: All of ours are OS AIOs except the FBs, which are OS Elite.

Not at all (or anywhere close)! One dry cycle and they are done
.
I love the flip covers with the stay dry although it is still pretty bulky. Surprisingly I really don't care for the organic inserts.
The freetimes and the elementals are just too much bulk but the 4.0 agent too bad.
I love rumparooz but a big poop gets in the wrinkles of the internal gusset and is too much of a PITA to clean.
All the thirties just don't seem to sit right on DD.
I do love the osocozy prefolds and the fuzzybunz. I have the small size rather than the one size and they are so cute on her.
I think the biggest surprise to me was how much I love the Kawaii pure and natural. They are so cheap but they fit her so well! You can get them for less than 7.00!
I am really glad I went for the trial before buying a big stash of organic AIOs as they are at the bottom of the list now!
We use mostly prefolds with covers. The wash routine is so easy. I also have a Sunbaby I love and I want to get more as our fancy going out diaper.
Just got wool longies off of etsy for winter Overnighting. So cute.
I don't like BG 4.0s. They dry out my LO's skin.
Main issue: MH doesn't do many diaper changes. I think he's a little intimidated. And I've probably scared him bc I'm a control freak with our stash!
We really like our BG Freetimes for nighttime. They are super absorbent.
I ordered from snugglebottoms.com and paid a bit more, eight maybe. Shipping is free with no minimum and it was so quick.

I like it except he has skinny thighs like me so we get poop leaks often.
We have 33 BG 4.0 os. I have one rumparoo and one kawaii. We had GMD fitteds and prefold and covers for nb. Those were nice.
I don't care for the kawaii but do like the rumparooz and BG. I just hope he gets chunkier thighs soon :]
The elementals to take forever to dry. But I do a quick dry in the drier on low and then hang them. I only have 6 of those so I rely on the free times which air dry quick.
I love my cloth! Just packed away our newborn diapers last weekend when some more of my OS showed up in the mail. We have some prefolds and a free covers. I like my thirsties duo wrap but the aplix seems like it won't last for very long.
During the day, we primarily are using BG Freetimes. Love love love them! Never have a leak, and they are relatively trim. At night we use BG 4.0s. Right now he is just with one insert, but I plan on adding the newborn one next if he out-wets them ( yep, I think I just made that word up).
We have a FB small pocket but we get leaks around the leg and we did with the newborn one as well. We also have a few Imagine covers and an AIO from Nikki's diapers just to have some cheap back ups. The Imagine pocket I like a lot.
I learned that changes go much more quuickly with aplix, which is important with our little screamer, but I doubt they will last as long. Excited for my Swaddlebees owl one to get here!
All of ours are Fuzzibuns OS Elite and I have gotten good at stuffing them. Like anything else baby related it gets more routine with time!! I am loving CDing. I feel so much better putting nice fleecy diapers on him than plasticky sposies. And I swear he likes them better too.
I actually got SUPER big in my thighs during pregnancy. I loved it because I finally filled out a pair of jeans instead of them looking like saggy butt ones.
: Anyway loving my cloth! Found this the other day when looking for deals to build on my stash

Don't know if it will be a clicky,on my phone.
Have you checked that your water rate hasn't changed? This happened to us just after k was born. Our consumption went up a bit bc of extra laundry.but cost WAY more because the water co rates spiked.
THANKS!! Anita, you are the best. I just showed my husband the new Swaddlebees prints and he even liked them
. Bookmarked for the first nursing session after midnight!
I really wanted to like CD and have been really surprised how much I LOVE them!!!
It is so easy and the laundry is NBD. I hope it stays this easy as we get bigger and move to solids. I like all of my BGs, snaps better than the aplix bc the aplix seems stiff.
"I will show you the kind of big sister I will be..."
I mostly use GMD prefolds and Thirsties Duo Wrap Snap covers. I much prefer the organic cotton from GMD over the white, but I'll take what I can get. I despise covers that don't have leg gussets (like Flip) and I don't like using the Flip system in general (just a liner + cover). I have one BG 4.0 and I like the general idea of pockets, but I am trying to stick to cotton instead of microfiber (less stink issues!)
Our favorite diaper is officially GMD workhorse fitteds. Easy to put on, super absorbent and secure and the grandparents can handle them. Also, sustainablebabyish organic bamboo fleece fitteds for nighttime. Those are seriously amazing.
I really want to try BG Elementals but the drying time and the cost are holding me back. Though I think AIO diapers would be so much easier during the toddler years (you know when you are trying to change a diaper while they are running away from you??).
I'm actually really sad about the fact that we will be traveling for 2 weeks at Christmastime and my in laws are hinting that they don't want us to be using the cloth at their house. Not excited about sposies again!
