Just wondering how many of you are on a perscription vitamin or over the counter?

my script ran out a couple weeks ago and I've been lazy about re-filling it and instead have been taking my OTCs faithfully. For some reason (probably paranoia) I'm totally fereaked out that this is not the best thing for my baby.  

Just looking for some insight. I also want to know for those on OTC - do you supplement with extra folic acid or Dha/omega 3s??

    I've been taking Nature Made plus DHA the whole time. I usually buy them at Wal-Mart. I'm sure your OTC are fine. :)

    I take prescription (Nexa Select) only because I asked which prenatals have stool softener and they gave me some samples and a prescription. 
    TTC our Navy Baby since 03/2010.
    1st BFP 10/2010.
    Twins discovered @ 6wks.
    Natural Miscarriage @ 11 wks, 01/2011.
    2nd BFP 05/2011.
    D & E Due to PPROM, 8/2011
    3rd BFP 8/2012
    Preventative Cerclage @ 14 weeks
    ???EDD APRIL 7, 2013 ???

    I've been taking Target brand gummy prenatals. They have DHA in them. I don't take any extra supplements, although I do usually eat salmon once, sometimes twice, a week.

    i was taking just a store brand PN, but it was making me ill, so I just take folic acid and DHA

    I take a prescription that has DHA in it....but it's freakin expensive every month!

    I also take this.  It has extra DHA and it has folic acid.  My doc also told me to take two vitamin d capsules per day.

    I've always taken OTCs.  I don't remember what brand I took with DS but I've been taking LifePak prenatals from NuSkin/Pharmanex.  I love them and have had no issues with burping up the flavor like I did with whatever brand I was taking with DS.  I always take extra folic acid because of my blood clotting conditions. 

    ETA:  My OB said the only reason they do the prescription ones is so that insurance will cover it or can get it for free from some pharmacies.  It's just a money thing.

    I have taken OTC with a separate DHA since Nov. '11.  I was going to switch to prescription when I met my deductible for 2012, since they would essentially be free, but I was warned that the switch might make M/S worse.  I wasn't having any at the time, so "if it ain't broke..."

    I buy the one a day prenatals. It is the vitamin along with the dha supplement.

    OTC here.  It has a rainbow on the bottle, its in the Health food section of the store.  I have always taken an extra fish oil pill supplement (even pre-pg).

    I take prescription with DHA.  I don't pay anything for them. Pharmacies around me provide some prenatals at no charge.  I just had to have my Dr. write a script that said it was for "any generic prenatal with DHA."   I get mine from Meijer, but I know Target and Walgreens does this too.

    I have taken OTC Nature Made with DHA for about 3yrs.  I had to switch about a month ago to Vitafusion gummy (it also has DHA) as my stomach is not handling the capsulses very well.

    I take a script. Neevo with DHA. They arent expensive though as Im very fortunate to have awesome insurance.
