Big Jumpers

So, for fun (cause I'm weird, like the rest of the name-obsessed on this board), I did a look at which top 1000 names on the boys and girls list had the largest jump from 2012 to 2013 in usage (not ranking).  No corrections were made for multiple spellings of the same name, and this does not include names which were not in the top 1000 in 2012.

I know a baby Ryker, I was so surprised to see it on the list since I had never heard it before he was born. I'm also surprised Kendra and Nicole jumped so much, you don't see babies with those names too often anymore.

  • Isn't there a guy on Duck Dynasty named Jase? I suspect that is the source of its recent popularity.

The main male character of the "The Mortal Instruments" book series and movie is also named Jace.

  • I do not now, nor will I ever understand the popularity of Jace. No matter how it's spelled.
