Besides a healthy baby in your belly for many of you! What are you cooking for thanksgiving? Or are you leaving it to someone else? My project is a stuffing stuffed squash veggie alternative and pumpkin pie from a sugar pumpkin. DW says she wants to help! What's cookin chez vous?

Our meal is 99% take out this year.
Honey Baked ham (FIL doesn't eat poultry), mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, cinnamon apples, and sauteed spinach. L made cranberry chutney earlier this week and might make carrot cake cupcakes today (depending on how she feels - she is sick.) and she'll make green beans tomorrow.
I am in charge of it all.
Tonight: 24 hour salad (this weird old fashioned fruit salad that was my grandma's recipe and is super yummy), pea salad (gag but my dad requested it), pumpkin pie, fruit dip (and cutting the fruit that goes along with it), vanilla cupcakes filled with toasted marshmallow cream and topped with homemade chocolate cream cheese frosting (decorated to look like turkeys), and the veggies/dip for the relish tray
Tomorrow: turkey, stuffing, homemade mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes made from fresh sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, and rolls
I feel like I am forgetting something....
MollyKelley - "stuffing stuffed squash" sound delicious!
We're going to our friends' annual vegan Friendsgiving. I'm making fresh corn bread and homemade apply butter (I made this already). Thinking about squash or some other veggie, but I need to see what everyone else is making. I know there will be a pumpkin pie, but C asked if I could make another dessert. If I'm feeling up for it I will, but I've had a cold the last couple days. Either way, there will be tons of food, I don't have to talk about what I don't eat, and I can eat anything I want!
J and I are making chickens since MIL doesn't like turkey, green bean casserole, vegetarian stuffing, and probably pumpkin and apple pies, the rest will be brought by J's family.
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
We are doing Thanksgiving with my family this year so the only thing I have to bring is the relish tray (olives, pickles etc) and cream cheese salsa tortilla rolls. Both of these are snacks for the family while the big meal is being done.
I feel awesome to not be cooking this year as it is starting to hurt to be upright. My dad will be frying and smoking a turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce, rolls etc.
I am so excited and I plan on gaining 10lbs! Especially since my glucose test is Monday...
