No. We had to turn off life support for my sister and "pull the plug" never came out of my mouth. I don't know if this is because she was 10 years old or because I was so close to her. I have heard people say that though.
It's something I've heard in a joking way, but NEVER when someone is actually being taken off of life support. And I don't think the girl was being ugly. It's probably just ignorance on her part.

I'm sorry you lost your sister at such a young age.
It's something I've said to MH now while talking about what we would want if the situation occurred but there is no way I would post something like that when actually facing the situation with someone.
Although I wouldn't be posting about it on FB in the first place so there's that.
ITA. DS has been on life support several times and the discussion came up in ICU more than once if we wanted to take him off as he wasn't expected to make it (quite obviously we said no). Saying "pull the plug" on Facebook is so not appropriate. I'm personally not comfortable posting much about things like that on Facebook anyway.

Sorry for your loss...how heartbreaking.
My grandma had to make the decision for my then 19 year old uncle. I can't imagine she would have phrased it that way.

Re: If you had a loved one on life support
I wouldn't be posting about it on FB, thats for sure.
I think people post way too much personal info on FB.

There really needs to be some FB laws about this sh!t put in place.
People are oversharers on FB. It's the worst.
