Christmas is in the air and I'm really excited especially with baby due just 2 weeks before Christmas.
Tradition is that Christmas is always celebrated at my place with me and DH ordering certain catering for the turkey, ham, log cake etc. in advance...
Just wondering though if it makes sense to order the food and celebrate this year since baby will only be about 1-3 weeks old at that time depending on whether he's early or late! Not sure if it's good to expose baby to a big family/close friends gathering when he's that young... thoughts anyone? Should I just limit the gathering maybe to 10 close family members?
Re: Should I order my Christmas turkey?
If you feel you'll be ok, I say go for it. I'm not trying to say oh, we are all going to be zombies, I just am one of these people if I have people at my house I feel like I have to entertain and I'm not sure especially 1 week PP I'll feel up to it
My best friend, however, is always hosting parties and dinners and whatnot. She did thanksgiving last year when her daughter was only 2.5 weeks old. Everyone pitched in and it went smoothly.
I wouldn't be too worried about the germs. People should have enough common sense to not come over if they're feeling any kind of sickness coming on, and I would put hand sanitizer in every room and make sure people use it!
