First Antibiotic - Diarrhea

My Nollie is on amoxicillin for the first time ever. Poor guy had an ear infection :( But since going on it he has had diarrhea. I am trying to give him bananas and rice cereal. Any other ideas on what I can do? Any moms been through this with their little ones?

    These are amazing.  I give them to my kids whenever they have to be on an antibiotic.

     They are like $30, but so worth it in my opinion.  You can buy them at Walgreens.  I just measure out the antibiotic in a little measuring cup (like the kind that come on children's meds), add the 5 drops of the probiotic, and then suck it all up in the syringe to give them.

    Same problem here, on Augmentin!  Just called the nurse, she recommended a probiotic called Bio Gaia.  We haven't tried it yet, but she also recommended what sounds like a good technique - put the drops on a paci and pop it in.  Plus, starchy food like bananas.  But call your doctor, there are probably a lot of other options.

    Thank you ladies! She did say something about a probiotic but wasn't sure about it since it seems to be newer for infants. THANKS I will be trying it!!!
