Challenges: DS has been unusually fussy and clingy for the last few days. Today he had a couple of short cat naps, and that was it. He's now lying beside me on the couch, kicking my leg, and it's the first time he's been quiet in 2 hours, which is very unusual for my mellow little guy. Plus, he's nursing like he's afraid my boobs will disappear if he isn't latched on. I'm thinking we have some wonder week / growth spurt action going on here.
Oh, and tomorrow is my first day back at my part-time job. I'm sending my poor clingy baby, who just wants his mama, to daycare with strangers for 9 hours. *sob*
GTKY: Yup. DD will probably get a kick out of it - she's been asking when the Easter Bunny is returning since last Easter, so she'll LOVE the idea of Santa Claus. DS won't care .

Challenges this week?- This week has been filled with quite a few. DS had his 2 month vaccines Friday and has been crying, fussy, not sleeping or eating normally, and running a fever because of them. We're also in the process of transitioning to his crib and all of this has resulted in a very tired mommy and baby!
Milestones?- He's consistently rolling from belly to back now and smiling up a storm!
Funny stories? DS woke up from a nap and I took him back to change his diaper because he usually always pees in his sleep. His diaper didn't appear to be wet so I went to take it off and check just to be sure and as soon as I pulled the diaper back DS started peeing! I quickly moved the diaper back and held it til he was done. Well he thought this was hysterical and couldn't stop laughing, cooing and smiling the whole time he was going!
GTKY: Will you tell your littles about Santa Claus? We will definitely tell our children about Santa Claus. It was hands down one of the best parts about Christmas as a kid and I want him to experience all of the excitement!

Three month growth spurt is kicking my butt, though DD is evening out. Totally worth it for the rolls I got today, and the super cuteness that is bath time lately. DH fills the tub enough that she can float and kick (and stays right there with her, even though sometimes I still worry) and she goes nuts for it. She really loves being in the water.
I believed in Santa Claus until I was 9 (I have a seriously overactive imagination), and even though I was super disappointed when I found out he wasn't real, getting to believe in magic that long is something that I treasure. While I would like to recreate that for DD, I'm still undecided because I don't know how I feel about lying to her. I guess I won't have to worry for another year or two.
Challenges: Just the usual difficulty with getting her down to sleep. And last night she was hard to put down after her MOTN feedings, which was super awesome. Hoping tonight will be better. I'm really needing to learn to be more patient though. It's so challenging for me, but I try to tell myself it will get better.
Milestones: Guess this counts as one. She is in her 0-3 month clothes now! NB still fits, but C is getting long!
Funny Stories: Nothing too specific, but she just makes the cutest squishy faces all the time. We love it. And I love she lets me do silly things with her like dance her around on her legs and just be goofy together. Those moments keep me sane.
GTKY: Will you tell your littles about Santa Claus? I'm Jewish (DH celebrates Christmas so we do) so it was never an issue for me, but I assume when she's old enough (like next year I guess) we'll tell her about him.
DD is on night #4 sleeping in her crib and so far so good. The first two nights I had to rock her back to sleep after laying her down already and last night she woke up for MOTN feeding which she hasn't done in awhile but other than that she is learning to love her crib! We got her 3 month and Christmas pics done yesterday and they are freaking adorable!!! I will have to scan them and post!
I go back to work this Thursday and I'm dreading it. I know she will be in good hands (grandma) but I feel like I'm going to miss so much I wish I didn't have to work full time but that's life. I just I hope I am not a total mess!
We will definitely tell DD about Santa. It is such a great part of being a child that I couldn't imagine taking that away from her. I cherish those days!! I hope she can enjoy them for a good couple years before someone (like my older friends) ruins it for her!
And I forgot to add that her Baptism was this past Saturday! Here is a pic from my phone of my Hannah and me! She slept through pretty much the whole ceremony haha

Great picture Charmed! And I totally understand your feelings about going back to work. I go back Dec 3...and I'm still keeping my fx that we win the lottery before then ;]
We've had a good week. I'm trying to pump more bm and hate it. I don't like pumping...but I'll have to just deal with it. I need to get a pumping bra so I can go hands free!
G slept from about 10:45 until 7am last night! I couldn't believe it. We also have her 2 month check up this week. DH really wants to get G's ears pierced soon [our drs office does it], but I'd like to wait until she asks to have it done. It's not the end of the world, I just don't see the point now.
As for Santa....yes. I'm excited to share the holidays and all our traditions with dd, even though she will have no memory of this year :]

Challenges: I think DD is going through the 4 mo wakeful stage because she's an even crappier sleeper than she normally is. I got up 6 times last night to plug her with the pacifier to get her back to sleep (but that includes 1 feeding). Her naps which are normally 30 min long are a challenge to even get 20 min.
Funny stories: Sunday she figured out how to stick out her tongue. She stuck it out almost her whole bath time & showed DH later that day during a diaper change. But yesterday, it seemed like she was sticking her tongue out half the day! Quite funny.
DS had been sleeping 6-7 hours in a row for almost three weeks, but for the past week he is back to waking to eat every 3-3.5 hours. I'm hoping it is just a growth spurt and he will go back to the other schedule soon, the extra sleep was actually helping me to feel normal. He rolls over from front to back on both sides now, for a week he would only roll over the right.
GTKY: Of course! I love christmas and all of the silly things that go with it. I even take my dog to have his picture taken with Santa.

No challenges or problem. He is smiling more and more and looking for me when I talk. So that's cool.
Scheduled his circumcision on the 28th with a rabbi. I don't know how I am going to deal with him healing. I am afraid.
Santa isn't Santa in our house; he is St. Nick. And we told em about him and around 6 to 9 when she starts to question it we plan to explain who St. Nick was and how moms and dads and even grandparents carry on his good works of giving without get the credit. So I plan on doing the same for all my kids. So while its a "lie" there is a greater truth which I will play up. Kidda the best of both worlds approach. The hard part is getting our parents to say St. Nick instead of Santa all the time.
Challenges: we've hit the phase of having to be held all the time, except at bedtime, when she thankfully still lays down peacefully. My shoulder and neck are hurting from the ring sling, but it's the only carrier approved for her size at this point. We'll make it work for a few more weeks.
Not so funny story: DH has been trashing BM. Not much, he said, but if she has 5 or 10mL left in a bottle, he just pours it out. I read him the riot act this morning. I work hard for that milk all day so I can take one or two feedings off at night. I'd like to see him holding her and pump at the same time. Throwing out liquid gold is not ok DH.
GTKY: we're definitely doing Santa, and are super excited about it. DH already has a place to hide the Santa wrapping paper, so she doesn't see it with the others and figure it out. Like she's old enough for that! But it's cute.
Mama to 5 angel babies, 1 rainbow baby, and 2 more angel babies.
Challenges: We're dealing with a yeast rash currently. This thing is no joke and it won't go away. I've been sanitizing and trying all kinds of creams. I think a doctors viset might be in order.
Milestones: L has been very vocal and grabby lately. She's been squealing and laughing at things around the house. She loves to grab my face when BFing.
GTKY: Yes! We will be Santa-ing it up. Growing up, my parents didn't do the Santa thing and I always felt like I missed out on a big part of the magic of Christmas as a child. I don't want L to feel that way. I want her to have every normal childhood experience I can give her. I'm really looking forward to playing Santa with her for as long as she believes.

Yep! We'll do Santa here. This year, both kids won't get it, but next year when DD will be 2.5 is when the fun starts!
Lately, DS has been giving me one 3.5 to 4 hour stretch if sleep at night. But after that first wake up, then we're back to every 1.5 to 2 hours.
Bfing is going well. He's getting more efficient. But sometimes he'll eat for 5 minutes then refuse the breast but then get hungry again 30 minutes later. Argh! He's still a super huge chunk...his 3m clothes are straining at the seams width wise.,
We have successfully transitioned to bedtime in the crib! It was actually so much easier than I thought it would be. We started Monday night. He cried for 10 min or so and then was out the rest of the night. The last 2 nights he has woken up around 4 am to feed, but has gone right back down in the crib with no issues. Naps are still in the swing. Once he becomes a little more consistent and is awake more, I'll try the crib for naps.
GTKY: We will absolutely tell our sons about Santa. DS1 is just turning 3, so he still doesn't quite understand, but this year I'm really going to play up santa so he gets more interested.
