Need advise FIL vent!!!

So we were visiting my inlaws yesterday and my FIL was holding Paisley and decided to pull her up by her feet upside down like you would do a toddler.She didn't cry so I know she didn't get hurt but oh i was pissed.  I almost had a heart attack. I said don't do that and so did my husband and then he pretended like he was gonna do it again. I said you could have really hurt her. I had anxiety all last night and today. How do I speak to him without totally being the bitchy mom. I am have been so upset about this....who does that! uhhh

    I am sorry that your FIL scared you. I would just say that you know he is excited to play with her but she isn't old enough to be so rough yet. Let him knnow that it just made you uncomfortable, I am sure he will understand.

    I would probably play the b!tchy mom card too...is he just totally clueless that LO is too young for that or was he egging you on after you had told him not to do it? Either way you definitely need to have a little chat with him!

    My dad did that to me when I was 2 weeks old. My mom flipped out on him big time.

    I think I would just say it scared you and ask him to not be so rough.

    I think jumping into complete b!tch mode makes it seem like he tried to hurt LO on purpose, or tried to make you scared on purpose. I think just talking to him will make him understand, he probably was just being a stupid guy. I am sure he will be embarassed that you say anything to him (and I agree you should say something) but I don't think you need to approach it angrily, especially when it will be a few days between when it happened and when you talk to him.
