Yesterday he told me that we needed to have a serious discussion. By the look on his face I was very concerned. Then he proceeded to tell me that he was worried that I was going to go into labor while he was getting a haircut. He would have to decide if he should finish the cut or if he should leave with it half done. He then proceeded to tell me that I needed to schedule all of my haircuts from now until my due date so that I would not be in the chair when my water breaks.
He was so serious that I could not laugh but I wanted to so badly. Now I have to write a haircut plan.

Why would I worry about him being at work? He is at work every day. I have a plan for that.
LOL. Good to have plans in place. I'm sure something will come up that your DH didn't think about (other than a haircut!).

Haha! I'm sorry but this made me laugh.
On a serious note, silly as it may seem, at least he is thinking about you and the baby in EVERY situation. He might be worried about a number of things but this one was easiest to express. It's kind of cute but...you must be nicer, I would have laughed until I had tears in my eyes. If making a plan lets him feel involved then no reason not to indulge. It might mean a really good plan when you do go into labor.
He goes back and forth about if labor is 5 minutes or 5 days. I think he needs a childbirth class. I wish his friends would stop giving him useful information that I then need to correct.
This totally cracked me up.
My worry is that MH won't have his phone on/with him. He does this A LOT. "I left it in the car." Yes, that's the perfect place for it, when you know I'm going to be trying to reach you.

This is one of mine too. I was contemplating getting him a throw away phone that would just be for when the baby is coming. It was then pointed out to me that if he can't have either one of the two cell phones that he already has with him why do I think that the third would do the trick.
Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
This is my fear. He never had his phone on when I need him.

Friday on the news they showed a woman in my neighborhood that walked out of her house and had her baby on the sidewalk! She did not even make it to her car. DH woke me up to watch the story and told me that he actually knows her. This is not helping my case that these things take time.
