NBR: I did my boudoir shoot today!

Aaaah, it was so effing fun! I didn't even need wine or anything, which was shocking. Unfortunately I was quite bloated (thanks to Oing recently), so that was a bit of a bummer, but I don't think it mattered much. I can't believe how fun it was to prance around in pretty and sexy undies for a few hours in front of a total stranger. Ha ha!

I ended up doing a Mad Men-esque theme - very 60's inspired lingerie, cat eye make up, and pin curls. It was sorta like Betty Draper meets Joan Halloway.  I ordered an Old Fashioned cocktail (DH and Don Draper's favorite) and had some shots involving that. I cannot wait to see the final pics.

Anyway, thanks to the ladies a few weeks ago who gave me some pointers and general courage. If DH doesn't like this gift, I may have to rethink things (I keed, I keed). But in all seriousness, this whole year+ of TTC stuff gets old and makes things monotonous - I'm hoping that by doing this, we'll both remember I'm a sexy a$$ biyatch.

Now, off to stuff my face and have some cocktails since I no longer have to be worried about being in lingerie.

2 losses: Nov '11 and Aug '12
Dx: Feb '13 - HSG shows clear tubes but minor diverticulitis; Borderline DOR; Low DHEA and low testosterone.
Moving on to IUI or IVF.

3.4.13:  Holy crap! Surprise natural BFP on cycle #19. EDD 11.12.13
We've got a peen.....it's a boy!

    Yay!  Way to go, Svenny!  Your hubby is going to luuuuurve the pictures and thank you thoroughly, I'm sure.  Sounds like a great theme you did, too!

    BFP #3: 8/27/13
    Me: MTHFR, Low AMH (1.1), High NK cells and Antiphospholipid Antibodies.
    DH:MFI-Low morph (1%), DNA fragmentation: Excellent!
    5 rounds of clomid, 3 IUIs, and multiple non-medicated cycles- BFFN                                                      
    IVF with ICSI in August 2013 brought us our babies.  ER-9R, 7M, 4F w/ICSI  ET of 2-Grade 2 blasts. 
    + HPT at 6dp5dt. #1 (8dp5dt)- 105    #2 (13dp5dt)- 510  #3 (15dp5dt)- 960  #4 (17dp5dt)- 1889
    Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy.  Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!

    I had them done as a wedding gift to dh.  It was our photographer who did our engagement so I was comfortable with her (she later did our wedding as well).

    Dh quite enjoyed them!  I am a terrible secret keeper but I kept it a secret for months so he was surprised.

    OMG, me too. I can't keep secrets from him. It was so hard to pretend I was at a meeting. He was asking me all about it and I had to totally make stuff up. He works from home, so it was extra hard. I had to shower before I came back home too.

    But yeah, it was definitely a confidence booster. I honestly can't wait to wear the lingerie again.

    No, definitely didn't do my own! I'm terrible at it too. There was a makeup / hairstylist there. Made a huge difference, even though it felt awkward at first since I don't wear makeup really.

    I would like to do this for an anniversary gift. I've lost 30 pounds so far but still feel like I need to shed another 15. Maybe for his birthday in March:

    Finished BC and not preventing since June 2010.
    Actively trying for baby #1 since July 2011.
    SA completed 5/29/2012. No sperm found.
    11/12: Dx: Congenital Bilateral Absense of the Vas Deferens.
    Genetic Testing needed as this is a mutation of Cystic Fibrosis.
    IVF #1 with ICSI planned for 2013.
    PAIF/SAIF welcome!
