I never post anymore but I remember Bumpies are usually really helpful so I thought I'd ask.......
My best friend and I are doing a girls only weekend in December in Chicago. We'll be staying at the Hard Rock and are looking for places to have dinner and drinks one night. We're looking for something midrange price wise, and something we wouldn't or couldn't go to with our kids. Any suggestions? TIA!

If you want to stay close to the hotel - I'd recommend the following River North spots. Have fun!
Quartino - Italian small plates, cheap wine, great food
Mercadito - great margaritas and mexican food
HUB51 - big menu, great drinks
RPM is amazing as well. It's really trendy and popular, so I would make a reservation now. They book up a month or two in advance.
I also really love Tapas Valencia in the South Loop. It's amazeballs!
