Hi I've been on other boards for a while and stumbled across this one. Im 31 w/ a 10 yr old from a previous marriage and a 2 yr old from my current marriage.
My question is can you ever really be ready for a third? Both my husband and I are on the fence about a third. I often question if we might be missing something if we don't try for a third because I had my oldest 10 yrs ago before most 30 something yr olds my age have even had their first.
Re: Are you ever really ready for a third?
This is kind of a silly question. I don't think anyone is ever really "ready" for a child whether it be their first, second, or 10th child. What makes ttc the third so different?
With that being said, there are certain situations where it's not the best time, like if you'd really be struggling to make ends meet with the added expense of another child. Or if you want to conceive on a whim because you have baby fever because your youngest is growing up too quickly. I would really look into why you want another child and if it's for a good reason (and you're ready physically/emotionally/financially) then go for it.
