Please don't say me! Ha. Ok, What I mean is who drives you nuts? The know it all, show off, the one upper, etc.
Mine is the "Oprah Winfrey"(stay with me) Oprah does a ton of good things for people and she should be commended for that, but she loves to tell people about all the wonderful things she does for people. Hurricane Sandy has turned all of my friends on FB into Oprah Winfreys. Drives me crazy. There is one girl in particular that I am thinking of. Here are her latest statuses:
Agenda for tonight: Baking cookies for first responders and cleaning out my closet to donate clothes for Sandy victims =.
Just bought 200 books with my own money to donate to Sandy babies.
Just got back from CVS and bought 100 dollars worth of shampoo, deodorant, soap etc. to turn my house into a hotel. All are welcome.
It drives me crazy! If you want to donate your time and money just do it. You don't need everyone to know what you've done to have done a good thing.
Re: GTKY: Your least favorite type of person.
I can't stand it when people boast either, it's just wrong. It's in the bible!!!! James 4:16 "As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil". Ok enough of my churchy preachiness on that.
My least favorite type of person is the one upper...you caught a fish, there's was 10lbs bigger. Drives me insane, I actually had a lady try to one up me on a tragedy. This was years ago but we were at my moms house just sitting around talking and somehow the topic of my son came up (he was stillborn at full term). She literally interrupted my story to tell me about her miscarriage at 6 weeks. And would not shut up about it going on about how she was on zanax for a year and had to go to rehab and just would not stop. Honestly from the looks of her im sure she was on pills before all that though.
My sister is like this, drives me insane! Her favorite line "I read on the internet"..yeah because everything you read online is so freaking accurate.
The negative nancy: AKA My mother.
No matter what, no matter how great news you may have she will have something negative to say about it. Example: Hey mom were going on vacation in July to the mountains. Mom: Must be nice...bleh bleah yah yah. Then go on to *** about something in her life.
I just want to be like yeah it is nice, we worked hard for it.
I have a friend like this, except she backs out of plans at the last minute all the time. I can never depend on her to show up to anything. I completely stopped making plans with her because of it. Every time she asks me to do something I just say no because I know 10 minutes before im supposed to meet her "something will come up" and she'll back out.
That is my mom, too. She can never ever just be happy for someone else, I have no idea why.
I also can't STAND people who have the have the last word. My sister will not give up on anything, literally anything, until she's had the last word. It drives me f-ing BSC and makes me not want to be around her ever. It doens't even matter who she's talking to or what the subject is.
And along the same lines, people who take offense to terms/names that don't apply to them. This is my sister, also. My husband once called homeless people (the kind that hang out on the streets, you know the kind) "bums" and my sister, who is by no means homeless, got soooo offended and went on and on and on and on about it. Like STFU, no one cares!!
Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.
Haha to the Oprah Winfrey! My MIL is like that. When she visits she cleans out entire house, but I'd rather her not even do it because I have to hear about it the entire time! I'll even have random family members (aunts, uncles, cousins) commenting on FB that it must be nice that MIL did my laundry, or vaccumed the stairs or whatever. It really is annoying!
However, my least favorite type of person would have to be judgemental people/ stereotypers. I know we are all guilty of judging and stereotyping to some extent, but some people go way overboard with it. For example, my cousin/coworker. She judges EVERYBODY. If you live in a certain neighborhood, you're a snob. If you live in another certain neighborhood, you're trashy. If you wear a certain brand of jeans, you are a horrible person. Whatever it may be that you choose to do, it puts you in some specific category of people according to her. It is so annoying. Especially considering she claims to hate judgemental people...Pot, meet Kettle.
OH this too! This might actually beat out my original choice. This is my MIL all the way. She knows everything about, well, everything! And she usually isn't even right!
Haha like that insurance commercial? That would drive me nuts!
LMAO!
