New to The Bump

New here and new to even thinking about TTC

Hello all. I thought posting here might actually help me wrap my brain around the idea that we might really be starting TTC. We've been married 8 years, and I just finished graduate school and turned 30 within the past year, so after years of trying hard NOT to conceive, we think we might actually be ready.

Of course, no sooner had we had that talk then I started having a bunch of gyno health issues that resulted in surgery last week, so even if we desperately wanted to dive in full force, we couldn't for a few months, anyways. Perhaps that's good though... gives me time to actually adjust to the idea! :-)

Re: New here and new to even thinking about TTC

  • I understand trying to wrap your mind around the idea of ttc.  DH and I have been seriously talking about it since we got married in September (been together much longer!), and it is just so strange to even consider doing something that I have actively avoided for my entire adult life!

We aren't ttc right now, but the baby fever is setting in!

Good luck with recovery, and congrats on finishing grad school (I just finished this summer!)!

Oh, cool. Thanks! I never would have even thought that that existed. I'm going to order it now.

We are new to the idea of ttc too and i read this book as well. Really helpful for alot of questions and better understanding of the whole process plus there are some useful charts in the back of the book.
